I really rate JK. I have to agree with the first poster though, taking the 2 is only a good option in the dying minutes.

You missed Brough tonight. Better team won on the night. But a very good season by your lads and its a credit to Kear finishing so high in the playoffs

Gutted about the loss but, after going through what our clubs been through the past 12 months, and finishing 5th, highest ever in super league, then well done to John Kear, the lads and all the club!


Looking forward to next season tbh.

Very disappointed to end the season this way but overall its been a fantastic season and finishing 5th was way above my expectations. Even more disappointing is that we will be "paid out" as though we have finished 7th/8th after tonights loss.

But best team won, I have no complaints. They had more passion, desire to win and enthusiasm than us and over the full 80 minutes it showed. I was particularly disappoined with our departing players who did not show up tonight. Drew looked like he was already in Huddersfield and Snitch and Wilkes looked like they were thinking about their better contracts elsewhere. The exception was Grix who I thought had a stormer for us. How would the game have gone if Brough had played, but he didn't so the rest is history.

Having said that an ecxellent season overall and I should like to wish the likes of Atkins, Wilkes, Snitch, Drew and Grix and other departing players all the best for their future and thanks for your service to Wakefield Trinity.

Looking to the future we have some superb players in Newton, Tronc, Morrison, Millard, Jeffries plus maybe 2 more quality players to come so I believe we will have a better team next season than this.

As I say, a disappointing end to 2009 but my mouth is already watering at the prospect of 2010.

You have got to be joking - how can you talk about JD's passes when Grix was chucking it either over their heads or at their toes. Please let Hudds take him - inconsistent petty boy poser.
For all of those arm chair coaches who wanted to see Grix given a chance in the halfs - well he had his chance and look what he did. Utter tripe.

Although I agree Grix and Drew were pretty average tonight it does seem a little coincidental that they are getting a load of stick..........and have now left the club??

Personally thought the majority of the squad were lethargic for far too long in the game this evening. All in all though you have to be pleased with how the season has gone.
