I have made a consistent arguement that Newton cheated by taking a performance enhancing substance to which he has now confessed. The report states this was self administered and IMO was designed to allow him to train and recover from injury.

This amounts to cheating and no team should be allowed to benefit from it.

This isnt an anti Wakefield view but a PRO RL one.

So I guess you dont want to discuss the point ???? but would rather sweep everything under the carpet.



Olympic athletes/teams arent allowed to benefit form cheating why should you. Medals are withdrawn and points deducted form the tables.

IN this case it warrants a 2 -4 points deduction for playing an illegible player IMHO.

Would you like to discuss mine, rugby league is a game played on grass, yet you don't have any on your pitch/quagmire!! Therefore you should be immediately kicked out of the league for breaking the most fundamental rule of the game. I bet we'd get more support for our claim than you would for yours!! Punishing the club and his team mates is not the answer. The sole responsibility of taking a banned substance lies with the user, even if JK had told Kear to take it (which I'm certain he would never do) its up to the person in question to check with the relevant bodies whether it is within the laws of the game to do so. Newton cheated himself, the club, his team mates, his fans and the game, he is now being punished for his errors of judgement. Hell what if TN comes out and says he's been on HGH throughout the whole of his career, do you go back and punish Warrington(academy player there), Leeds, Wigan and Bradford???
