After all they go to other grounds to watch them every other week so why not 3 mile up the road in Stanley. I know Glasshoughton is by far the best option but Stanley as a short term move or worse still a permenant move would not be the end of the world.'"
Ultimately that would be the key, and would be the same for Trinity if they were to share at Glasshoughton. The move would require all support to remain loyal and not boycott out of protest. If they did then any stadium share would be a success, unfortunately we are all a parochial lot and the geographical boundary’s dictate what we’re willing to accept.

| If Cas came to play at Stanley they would be playing in a community stadium built for the clubs what come under WMDC, and as such would have as much right to be there as anybody else not to mention the fact that its equal distance for both clubs. On the other hand if we had to go to G/hougton we would more than likely be playing in Cas's new ground and imo it would diminish our status as a SL side with us not having a ground of our own, and to a large extent we would be governed by them.

| 2 clubs / 1 stadia - it WILL result in the loss of one club - full stop!
2 clubs / 2 stadia - a chance of preservation of each identity.
I'm fed up of the 'Milan' - this is bloody Wakefield, not Milan - it's like comparing a cat with a brick!
The only benefit each club can offer the other is as a bridging facility until the other has it's new ground - and in my view, you could only sell that if there was 100% certainty about the delivery and timing of the second new ground.

| Quote: pyeman "No what we are saying is that at the very least one of the clubs will die if not both if we ground share.
Why
At least one sl licence will be lost if we share.
Why?
Have you answered my question would you play at saints new ground and what effect do you think you it would have on your club if you did?'"
Yes here,
Quote: pyeman "
On the Wigan point, Wigan have a 50+ year lease on the ground (DW stadium) at a nominal rent, which is beneficial to the club as far as running costs are concerned.
We won't have problem with a Superleague license, however if we were in the same position as Saints and yourselves and we were offered a groundshare with Saints in Billinge or Ashton for example then I wouldn't see a problem.

Fair play to Fev they firmly confirmed their position and I wish them the best. The interesting thing now is will Dick Wright do the same thing. If Cas are 100% behind the Jnc 32 project I would expect a similar statement from them.

| I'm by no means Richard Wrights friend or even an empathizer, but why should he?
He confirm's Castleford's intentions every 3 weeks with a "big progress" statement. We all know what they want, they wouldn't have got outline planning permission for something they "might be doing". Not to say if anything happened or even delayed they might use Stanley for a few years, but i think it's safe to say Cas know where they want to be, they have told us enough times, why should Wright'y waste his time.... I think there are other things he should be spending time doing.

Many fans wouldnt travel to a stadium to share with the other club, attendances would fall.
The rfl with there drive towards expansion, arent going to issue two licences for one location, which ever club lost one would suffer a massive drop in attendances with no chance of getting back in sl (though more than likely the rfl would try to force us to merge AGAIN, which means either one clubs identity will lost, like with gateshead and sheffield and thousands of fans lost to the game for ever, or a completley new side being created, and i've never met a single wakey or cas fan that would be willing to support a merged team, so that team would die).
I dont drive, i walk to matches, if the stadium was outside of cas i wouldnt go to every match, probably i would miss most, i certainly wouldnt buy a season ticket, few would, in effect our home games would be away games. Whats more it would have a negative effect on the towns economy.
Instead of sharing and killing one of the clubs off, wakefield could build there ground in stanley and we can build ours in cas, both of which boost the local economy, and allow the clubs to keep there own identity. The wakey fans can tell you about all the benefits of there proposed stadium, at cas we will have a stadium that will be more accessible (train station outside the ground, just off the m62, buses to leeds, wakey, london and hull) and have more nearby entertainment (skiing, surfing, lazer tag, cinema, climbing walls, arcades, bowling, a hundred stores and shops, twenty or more pubs, bars and resturaunts) than any other rl stadium in the country.
Its easy to say you would be happy to share with saints when at the moment there is no chance of that happening., but in 40 years if the football club kick you out, i wonder if you would be so happy about moving in with saints, i suspect not.

You mean like he does EVERY TIME this is brought up? I remember at least 5 occassions where he's stated he isn't interested in moving into any stadium with Wakey, and he's also said he wouldn't let Wakefield play out of J32 either, because it's Castleford's stadium for the Castleford Tigers, and it will be getting built contrary to what you and some of the other goons like to say. Come on, bring up your usual counter argument for it

Rodney Walker has already publically stated that cas have said they arent interested so why would he need to?
Fev made there statement as it was suggested that they may play games at stanley.

That depends, the original plan of a super casino with a 20,000 stadium paid for by the casino, which was killed by the government, or the current stadium which has been in plans for 2 years in which time there's been

Cant imagine many would find it easier, most cas fans walk to the game, only those living out of town might find it easier and even then only if they were on that side of cas.
