Quote: Prince Buster "From the stuff I am hearing I think you will be disappointed. However everyone is entitled to their opinion and if Trinity having a crap season once more, floats your boat, then fair enough.'"

Nothing floats my boat more than seeing my club win games.
I'm old enough to have seen Challenge Cup Final wins and RL Championship wins and would love a return to that sort of apogee. I've obviously also seen a few relegations, cup final losses and Scott Grix, all of which are part and parcel of giving unwavering support to my club. You can be both happy and sad whilst supporting btw.

My comments were more in readiness to possibly laugh at the narrow minded individuals who presume the grass will be instantly greener and see them turn their venom on our latest saviour.

I’ve seen the glory days like you and your last paragraph is a real worry because a rude awakening awaits.
Ok we are to remain full time and I hope sign some quality players but it will be no cakewalk getting out of the championship!
There are some excellent clubs in Featherstone, Bradford, Halifax, Toulouse or London and Batley! All capable clubs so we’re going to have to be top drawer all season and we may not even do it first time! The knives will be out in a trice from the usual suspects make no mistake!!!

Remember, winning the league/ Grand Final and 1895 Cup help, but that's not the way you get out of Championship next year.
All areas have to be there, though those points may be the difference.

Like taking a run up to that bike jump you made during the school holidays. You have to go hard and once, or go half ar^ed and go many times, with some collateral damage.

Look at Degsy - he had a few goes, and last year went hard £££, and this year it's seems to have stuck.

I don't see how you can mix a little bit of moneyball and "smart / cost effective" signings with cautious spending and get out of that league and expect not to return. Look at London a few years ago - spent load of money but not quite enough. Leigh, same. I for one don't believe it will be easy, and Ellis has got to go for it - but with my glass half full, I think reading between the lines in his opening statement 3 weeks ago he gets that.

But again, the staying up thing is only partly about the players.
Winning games and coming to is important this year for some IMG points but mostly about getting the fans to but into the journey again.
After that it is very much about making sure we have the points while staying competitive on the field.

It would be great to do a Leigh in 2 tears time but if not it's important to build up slowly, increasing our income and league position each year. One place at a time if necessary.

I’ve had enough!

To the normal critical thinking trinity fans who visit here… a fond farewell…

It looks like someone has been messing with the club’s Wikipedia page.

I'd normally say that would be done by a Cas fan but these days it could easily be someone who thinks they are a Wakefield fan

Wikipedia Wakefield Trinity website was edited at 22:32pm last night,Monday,9th October. It has, in the current Wakefield Trinity details section at the top of the page,Matthew Ellis named as CEO and Chairman, although nothing has been officially announced.
Also has Daryl Powell coach and Luke Gale as Captain.
I wonder if we are to get an official announcement today?

It’s more the name and colour change that suggests it is someone being mischievous.

Yes confirmed here.
Depends who comes in I guess but he was one of the good ones this year.
Bit of a loss.

I didn't realise he's still only 24. He'll want to be playing consistent rugby and not playing second fiddle to Lino/Gale.

Big loss after what I saw of him last year.
