He was definitely a known player before he came to us.

He was definitely at Hunslet before he came, but I thought he'd joined in trial initially. I could be wrong though, it was 30 years ago. I've had a look at the programme and he's not named at all.

Don't think so. Andy Wilson was one though.

In those days you could trial for another club with the permission of your club if I remember correctly. We probably paid Hunslet a fee which they will gladly of taken.
Thinking about it I think he actually played against us in a preseason friendly and that’s when we signed him but as you say it’s a long time ago.

I’m pretty sure Jackson was an announced signing from Hunslet … I remember some of the discussion and speculation in the local press…
As for another’s I think Steve Diamond was such a trialist vs Cas on Brian Juliff’s debut

| Following the game on Twitter but there have only been 12 updates/ posts on the Trinity feed during the first half… including two for each try
By comparison the Halifax feed has set by set updates… with a total of 31 updates during the first half
social media is a key part of modern comms… trinity need to do better

| It's about building excitement before the start of the season proper. Encouraging those who gave not already bought a season ticket to get one. More on Twitter, more on the website more on Trinity T.V. It costs very little and doesn't take up a lot of time. A few player interviews, some training videos. Etc

| Although I get the point both of you make I don’t think you can underestimate the disruption that the redevelopment is causing.
Up until air started there was plenty on Trinity TV and on social media. At the moment a lot of staff are doing extra duties to cover. The development alone takes up most of the time of the main two directors.
All efforts at the moment are focussed on actually getting matches on. Anyone who went today will see how messy it all is. Keeping fans safe is number one. Keeping the corporates happy is not far behind,
Most fans will be patient I’d have thought but corporates are harder, there are plenty of options out there.
Things will eventually click into place, but at the moment it shows just what a small scale operation we currently are.

| Professional performance without being spectacular. Looked good with our strongest team out dropped off significantly with all the rotations which is to be expected.
Most positive thing I heard today from a source within the club was how well the new lads have settled in and the levels of professionalism and investment they have put into the culture of the club.
Langi & Proctor in particular praised for their conduct and work not just in training but before and after with the group.

I’d say tat all of our imports look totally worthy of a place in SL including Whitbread and Tanginoa wha are already known quantities. I’m not sure all SL teams can say that.
However special praise for the domestic signing. Morgan’s Smith, what a great little player he looks. A real pukka SH from the old school, Lino has some competition there!
Finally Lineham. Right from the start of last season he looked like some silly hooray Henry prattling about on the wing. Today he looked like a RL winger getting on with his job. The pass to Reece was class and genuine I felt.

| Proctor literally never shut up the entire first half. He looks like he’s already commanded the respect of his team mates. I reckon his presence at training and just around the lads will be massive at pushing the team in the right direction.

All inports did look good Main problem seems 6 Gaskell put though a gap and been caught after 20 yards does not look good for rest of season Smith at 6 and Lino at 7 who looked sharp in second half playing with a team of youngster
