| Quote vastman="vastman"He just can’t.
Why leave it so late to bring Whitbread and Hood back on.
What kind of defence was that in the first 10 minutes of the second half.
His players are a disgrace but after a year they are his players.
For the first time since 2006 I don’t think we can stay up. This team if you can call it that has no heart.
Great new ground, no team, how ironic.'"
Well he could the other week when we won a couple, he could when he took over from Chester. The players committed suicide today 20 minutes with 12 men in 25 degrees is a jolly good show. The team had heart but we are an aging team who will play well for a few games and drop back to not. Its called over 30 legs gone, body gone and all those can keep bulling them up but it won't do any good. Some people need to hang their heads in shame

Sorry but he had halftime to work out a way to cover Fifita absence plus we were rested. I would guess based on the try’s they scored we were not prepared.

| Shocking ill disciplined poor defensive display with a team that folded like a pack of cards…unnecessary back to back sin bins with some very strange team selections and inflexible probable pre arranged interchanges (instead of play what you see keeping Hood and Whitbread in the game when down to 12) led to a likely victory turning into an embarrassing capitulation and defeat.
Batchelor should have been at centre, Crowther at 13 and Bowes interchange hooker. Butler doesn’t look fit enough for Super League and should be in the reserves until he loses some timber and can keep up with the pace of the game.
I think a short term advisory role from someone like John Kear is needed otherwise it’s certain relegation.

Couldn't agree more to be honest.
If Poching went, we'd only go down the cheap route or to the next yes man.
Are we any better off than we were in 2013?
Personally, I'm not convinced

Sorry Mopsey but your adding weight to Vastmans argument.
We won Hull and Wire. Batch was instrumental in both at right centre. Poching rung the changes in a back to back winning team by moving Batch to the middle and the players replacing him went on to leak try’s for fun and right edge defence fell to bits. That was Poching choice to tinker with a winning team and he fluffed it up.
Same with Crowther. He admitted himself last year he isn’t a 9. It appears in Pochings grand plan to start Batch at 13 Crowther is being made into our interchange 9. A role that he struggled with and is struggling with again. Crowther was playing well at 13.
Why Poching is making decisions like this just confuses the heck out of me.

| I said it when he got the job and I stick by it: never appoint the assistant who got the benefit of a post-sacking bounce. We did it in 2005 with Tony Smith and he almost took us down the year after. We did it with Webster, who had a post-sacking bounce. I cannot think of a single Super League example of a former assistant who stepped in after the previous head-coach was sacked and who went on to do well. It's because you have the same-old same-old. I just hoped I was wrong. Some people are meant to be assistants. Willie is one, as he always has been.
I don't think he's helped by his squad, who are too old and jaded, probably as sick of it all as we are, but I think that is partly to do with the increased success of the NRL. All the best English players head there and now no decent Aussies come over, so the top clubs get the best of the rest and we get glorified Championship players. There are players at some of the top clubs who would never have got in them fifteen years ago, and maybe would have ended up with us.
But the promoted assistant was a disaster waiting to happen, and now the disaster is happening. We are one Toulouse win away from relegation.

| Quote Luppylad="Luppylad"Cant put it all on fifita yes what he did was stupid but we as a team should be able to cope for 10 mins with 12 .also what buttler did was just as bad if not worse.there was loads of errors that led to it'"
I get what you’re saying but there was only a few secs on the clock when Fifita did what he did ! not even 10 secs I believe . We were on the back foot from the kick off 2nd half ! Butlers was reckless and as stupid but it happens … Fifitas was the most stupid/dumb play …. . Once the gap was there our already weak side .. Croft /Evans we’re grasping at fresh air . We had it won … just criminal … couldn’t wait to get out of the ground and come home . !

| Also to say Arona is retiring we are a much weaker team in defence and attack when he’s not on the park ! We are in a lot of trouble and I honestly can’t see us escaping with the current set up ! We are just not good enough …

| Well some on here blamed our demise on Chester and now it's Poching who can't coach what a sorry state we are in.Fifita getting stick for getting binned which was a silly rush of blood to the head. But imo Fifita was playing Toulouse on his own when he got back on. His effort and work rate was relentless. We have to realise the buck stops with the man at the top and he has to sort out the problem on the pitch or else we will have a new refurbished stadium with nobody in it.

Yeah, but the damage had been done by then, he had already shot us in the foot and we never recovered...it gave Toulouse the sniff of blood that they needed and the rest is history. Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of Dave (hence my avatar), but we were in total control of that game right up to that point and then Dave popped our balloon
