Yes, he is, in his day, a potential match winner. However, sadly his injury record is a concern, and he's only thst potential match winner when he's on the field.

I would imagine if we did try to keep him, he'd provably end up being one of our top earners.

Sadly, I think he averages something like 17 games a season. For me, with a club with our finances, you need your top earners yo be playing more games.

I'd rather be fighting hard to keep Batch, and be looking to replace Miller with a quality half back, maybe two if Lino goes as well

For me the best way to go is to let TJ go, let Miller go if he really wants to join our rivals and use that money to replace Miller with someone good and keep Fifita and Batch.

Not too sure about Fifita, i dont think he is the player of a few seasons back. I believe we have had the best of him. However Batch I would love to hang on to for many different reasons. Now I do not know for sure but there seems to be many rumblings on the various grape vines and gossip sites, we have lost him. Real shame if true.

Batch though has gone and has informed the club of his decision. In truth it was a miracle he signed his last deal with us so we probably got a bit more time out of him than we should have.

I note you now want a good clear out of the existing squad, I presume you want all the money saved to be used to replace these players. The problem is that the team has bounced along for several seasons we may not even survive in SL after this one so where do these replacements come from. I regret a redeveloped ground will not immediately overcome our perceived shortcomings to any players.
I would ask your contacts what is going on, you never know they may actually tell you if they have a master plan but I doubt it because they really do appear to not know how to get us out of our current mess. We have every choice. Bowes is playing well in the reserves and has played well when called up to first team. We should be leaving JC at 13. It’s lads like JC, Bowes, Batch, Murphy etc who will give their right arm for trinity to get a win I suspect.

A replacement might not come cheap , but with his , Johnstone n tupou’s wages getting weighed in I’m sure we can temp some quality into the fold
