Let's just be clear. He has lost his honorary titles in the forces so they can be given to another royal who will attend the particular events.
He was in the army for 10 years getting to Captain rank. That isn't taken away.
He's still patron of the Invictus games as he did that off his own back.
He still trekked across the Arctic to raise money for injured soldiers.
Anyone who suited up in the military and did tours in war zones deserves my respect.
He didn't dump his royal duties they were taken off him.
However they have still supported the organisations of which they used to be patrons, just without title and funding from taxpayer.
A Prince is the son of the Queen. I'm pretty sure that hasn't changed. It's the honorary titles that have been handed back, like Duke of somewhere.
