I’m torn on this one. Folau’s views are despicable and (as they’re based on the supposed teachings of an imaginary being in the sky - in my opinion) utterly stupid.
But I’m uneasy with banning people and things we disagree with. At least we know what he thinks and, if we want to, we can counter his views at matches in whatever way we think appropriate. If he gets a load of stick at every away match (and home matches too hopefully) it could actually prove what we all think about RL being inclusive and welcoming.

He *can* say whatever he likes - that doesn't mean he should; and if he chooses to say such unpleasant and inflammatory things out loud - he should expect to be challenged, and for those views to limit his opportunities in life - which is often the case these days. Try going to a job interview and citing Hitler as one of the people you most admire - it will be a belief that you are entitled to have and express, but will be naturally self-limiting.

On this occasion however, Catalans have chosen to ignore his rampant homophobia and bigotry, because he's half-decent at RL; that to me is an error on their part, and sends entirely the wrong message about them as a club, and the sport of RL - which is supposed to be inclusive and welcoming.

On a related matter - why are religious nutjobs so obsessed with sex? They seem to want to prescribe who you stick it in, in what position, and which bits of the bits you stick in should be left intact, or otherwise. It's positively creepy.

I dont think that him getting stick at any or every RL game will make the slightest bit of difference to his views and in a way, it shouldn't.
As so many have said, he is entitled to think whatever the heck he wants.
The error here is from those at Catalan, who believe that employing people with those very publicly held views, will improve them as a club or more importantly as an employer.
Wigan have made a great move for their home game against Catalan and declared it LGBT day. I dont like Wigan but, on this one, they are at least doing the right thing.
Catalan need to have a look at themselves. Their record on taking players already banned down under is shocking and this is just a further backward step.
I wish that Keegan was still playing for Trinity, it would have made round 2 just that little bit more interesting.

This competition needs all the help it can get it’s absolute junk and the games on its ass. I bet loads on here have aired some sort of views in the past so get off your high horses.

Perhaps he thinks that the majority of people share his opinion (who knows, maybe they do). A lot of fans and clubs letting him know they don’t agree with him may give him pause for thought. One thing is certain, his views shouldn’t go unopposed and it can’t be done much more publicly than a rugby league match.

Personally couldn’t give a monkeys about him spouting off As it’s only one mans views ,just ignore it and treat it with the contempt it deserves .Im old school and don’t get wound up by every inflammatory remark that’s put on social media Or I wouldn’t go out of the house .All I’m interested in is that he adds something to super league as the last time I looked he ain’t killed no one ,he’s just put his personal view out there

I would have been extremely pleased if we had managed to sign him.

Wouldn't it be nice to live in a world where everybody of whatever race, creed, religion,beliefs or sexual persuasion, could take the proverbial pi55 out of each other and just sit back and have a good laugh about it all. instead we get uptight about the slightest thing and worry ourselves sick about whether we could be prosecuted for it or not. Equality throughout the world!!! If someone takes the mick or "insults" you, then just do the same back and agree to differ, shake hands and move on.

I suppose if people weren't assaulted or killed on the back of been LGBT then I suppose we could all have a laugh and take the proverbial.
