What has happened to MCB? He has played second fiddle because he is second fiddle, did you want Chester to play him over Johnstone or BJB just to keep him happy?

| The universal problem for/with all super league clubs is having players that are "Ready made" ie, all full of experience & Up to speed on playing full super league with nothing to be a/in the negative & therefore nothing to learn - in particular at the expense of your club & league points.
True that doesn't make sense but the top four clubs will pay over the odds for this aspect whilst all other super league clubs yearn for this but have to let players learn their trade.
Then come the big clubs & hopefully buy that ready made item !
Sorry for the facts,
Up the trin for ever.

| I have no issues whatsoever in TJ, MCB or BJB. I think we are really fortunate that we are really strong in this position.
MCB is a good player and is only young. You cant blame him for wanting regular first team action. Maybe releasing him could also free up funds to strengthen where its needed more, and maybe blooding the next generation could be the back up for TJ and BJB

| Agreed, last post, personally I like Randal & have no problem with his general
Ability but his only down side is slow ruck speed so we bring on woody to speed
Things up !
So we/coach knows this, answer we need another quicker hooker - ruck speed & control of ruck usually decides who wins !

| Thought Hampshire had an outstanding game, no doubt the best in a trin shirt to date. Massive wraps to Lyne also, he's gained the strength and size to fend centres off and run over them.. something I thought I would never say about Reece. Roll on Friday!

He was in the Dewsbury 19 for yesterday’s game, but didn’t make the final 17. Matty English is looking to be the pick of the bunch from that Stanley side.

| Number one priority ; get Hampshire signed up on a long term contract. Best player of his generation, will be the best 7 in SL. Rather than sign some second rate Aussie who is not good enough for NRL , I predict that if we sign Hampshire and play him at 7 then first rate Aussie NRL Clubs will be knocking our door down trying to sign him at end of next season.

| I think he has shown enough this year to warrant a longer term deal as first choice 7 to play alongside Miller. 3 years probably would be about right.
I would then look to replace Finn with a less experienced halfback, such as a Joe Keyes type in case Miller or Hampshire picks up an injury. The benefit of taking someone from lower levels or part-time environments is they're likely to be more satisfied with being reserve initially, so should be willing to wait for an opportunity rather than get itchy feet as it sounds like MCB is rightly understandably doing. The obvious draw back of this though would be their skill/ quality level

I think he's done ok, and has benefitted from having a decent run at 7 alongside Miller. He deserves at least a 1 year deal.....but best player of his generation?! Bit strong, but there you go, each to there own eh, just thinking, If Annakin had played against Hull I reckon we'd have knocked up 100......

A typically grandiloquent Belly statement - but there is an argument that Hampshire has been hiding his light under a bushel, due to some of his own choices, or choices that were made for him, as he started his SL career. Going to Wigan, with so much talent in front of him and with very little chance of playing his favoured position on a consistent basis, has probably held him back and as a result, he's maybe 2 years behind in his development.
If he can play the way he did against Hull on a consistent basis, even against decent opposition, he's got new Danny Brough written all over him; fast, nuggetty, quick thinking and not afraid to play what's in front of him; and rarely for a hb, far from a pushover in defence. To top that off, he's got a terrific boot on him - although kicks in play are perhaps not his greatest strength.
I'd say that if we stick with him and he's our first choice 7 for a couple of seasons, so his craft and experience in that position and at that level can properly mature, he could easily be one of, if not the, best hb in SL - and it wouldn't be a stretch to imagine him pulling on an England jersey in the next 5 years.
