| I will take 7 meaningless games if it means we are not in the relegation dog fight,,, I think toronro, london and Toulouse are going to take some beating this year......maybe 2/3 super league teams down.....

| To be honest I wouldn't be surprised knowing Wakey if we won the next two games.
We have beaten Wigan well the last two seasons and they will be coming off the back of a tough cup game. We are also capable of beating Wire. These are the games we need to win to clinch the top eight then push on for the top four.

Couldn't agree more, after those two we have Widnes at home as well, that's three very winnable games and it's not unreasonable to believe it's achievable hopefully, if's and but's I know but if we do then a top eight place more or less guaranteed with five games left.

| Hudds will win there next 4 fixtures.
I cant really see any of the current bottom 4 getting into the 8 but maybe that`s just wishful thinking. Should Salford or Catalan pick up any sort of form we could be in the dog fight.

It's fair to say that Catalan have picked up some form. 3 wins from their last 4 is good going and the defeat that they had was away at Saints.
The coach that everyone loves to hate does seemed to have turned them around and I dont see them being in the bottom 4 after the split and our dire performances against Shudds seem to have given them a lift.
It could all get extremely tight at the bottom of the table and there will be twists and turns a plenty before the Super 8's.

No I don’t agree actually, Catalin have cobbled a few wins together against generally poor opposition. They might pull out of the bottom four who knows but to suggest they have found anything resembling real form is a bit rich imo.

Mostly agree with that. They are definitely playing better than they were earlier in the season, but they have just beaten the two worst teams in the league on form. They also beat us a few weeks ago but we were really off colour that night. They do however have a run of fixtures that they will fancy themselves in now though. So it will be interesting to see how they get on.
I don't expect them to cause any issues for you guys though. Expect you will be safely in the 8. Probably 6th unless Leeds can find some answers pretty fast, they have been beyond terrible the last couple of weeks.

Time will tell but, right now, they have the best form in the bottom half of the Table.
Beating Leeds and Hull FC at home, Salford away and getting close to Saints, no matter how injury ravaged any of those sides may be, is form that we would be delighted to have.
Of course, given their absolutely abysmal start to the season, they are still going to be a bit scratchy but since the addition of Drinkwater, they look like they will definitely avoid the bottom 4, something that looked impossible a few weeks ago.

| Our hammering at Salford has proved to be a real game changer. That 2 points was priceless to Salford. It kept us both hanging in the 8 by a thread.
Ourselves, Salford and Widnes are currently the stand out strugglers.
I do believe that Shudds and Catalans have been flattered by the opposition they've faced recently.
Their cup tie looks like being are real dour struggle in front of a record low crowd for an all Super League game. Will watch it for a laugh though.

For the winner of that tie, it could be a poisoned chalice, an unwanted distraction from achieving super league survival, no rest weekends.
At the start of next season, I would take a first round exit in the cup to guarantee top 8 every time.

Fully agree. The lower seeded clubs will never get a chance to cause a major upset or have their moment of glory because they will be out before the big teams are even in.
I'm not a fan of Football but you can't deny there is still a certain magic associated with the FA Cup.

So a question then, would you rather;
A. win the cup and be relegated to the championship (it has happened in football in recent times)
B. be knocked out of the cup in the early rounds and finish in the top 8
Im not saying I dont want to win the cup, obviously I would love that. But I dont want to win the cup if it comes at the expense of our super league place and all the consequent effects that may follow. Also FWIW my opinion is, grand final > challenge cup.
