| We shot ourselves in the foot with the first 30 minutes and to be honest we were lucky still to be in the game at HT. That said, we were much improved in the second half and had an awful lot of possession in Cas' 20m and had enough ball to win the game.
Enjoyed the game, cracking atmosphere in the second half and just fell short but showed character to get back into it from 22-0 down.

| I wasn't surprised to hear Cas streak ahead in the first half; they've been fantastic this season and have got threat all over the park. I was surprised however to hear us come back so well in the second half - Webster certainly knows what to say to the players at half time and seems capable of seeing what's working and what's not, and getting the players to execute accordingly. Bodes well for next year.

| No, we've known for a long time what child is like. Genuinely like Silverwood and Bentham, not child. He Cains us every time.that said, I was impressed by Wakefield today. To fight back from 22-0 down showed character. That character wasn't there at magic weekend. The game was there for you too with the late overlap, big ali would've coasted in I'm sure.

| Well done today Trinity and a big thanks for restoring some pride and something to be happy about to a season that was looking to be as dismal as any for years under the utter buffoon Agar, the blight that the Glover regime landed us with. James Webster..I wouldn't have seen that one coming but we have had 2 howler games and about 9 good ones. No mean effort to run Cas close today with a weakened team. Very silly to criticise this effort those that have. I feel more optimistic with Webster in charge and thank God Agar is GONE yeahhhhh

| Quote Wakefield No 1="Wakefield No 1"But the facts were we could have won, if tim smith had passed the ball out at the end with a overlap instead of back inside, then there was Reece Lynne getting the ball knocked out of his grasp and the ref giving the scrum to cas..the ridiculous thing about the opening 30 mins for me was trying to dribble a kick through in our own half , instead of hoofing the ball downfield , not once but twice!!! Play percentages and try and play the game in the opposition half , not miracle plays when the game is still in the balance..'"
Yeah but the facts are we didn't win it though did we! Yes the late chance could have snatched it but if we had of started the game at the same time as Cas we have won anyway. We won the last 50 ish minutes of the game 22-4 but it was just during that awful start that their heads weren't tuned in, the two ridiculous kicks you correctly mention the perfect case in point. Concentration is something that has cost us more than once this year with tries at the beginning and ends of halves an example and for me this is something Webster needs to drill into them in the off season.

| Talk about a game of 2 halves (well 25 minutes and 55 minutes to be more accurate).
We were lucky to sneak a couple of scores at the end of the 1st half but, the second half was a great effort and we certainly had some squeaky backsides at the Wheldon Road end, at least I think that's what we could hear.
Superb comeback after a soft first half an hour and but for a couple of calls from the man in pink, we could have won.
Great effort, lets finish off the season with a win next week.
Come on Trin !

| I have to say, we were well under the kosh in the first half. They were making ground for fun and we weren't getting more than 2 metres per drive.
Sykes was keeping us in the game at full back, and Owen was keeping them in the game by just not handling their attack at all. He took the high balls well but once they had field position he just couldn't stop them and kept getting drawn in.
We had a couple of chances but we were so under pressure we had to take wild chances like Smith little kicks and Godinet wild pass out wide when we got the break.
In the second half we really got stuck in. I thought Annakin coming on really made a difference. The harder tackling and sometimes over the top, got Cas rattled imho and they were more concerned with mixing it than playing the steady game that had been working for them.
That then gave us the chance to work our way back in to it.
Webster clearly is a good half time speaker. The players clearly have confidence in themselves and showed some character to stage a comeback when it looked lost.
I would have been much happier with a win, especially as there were possibilities at the end but when wyou consider where we were at half time, that was quite a game.

| Ultimately because Widnes won the top 8 was taken out of our hands, the best we could finish was 9th and that's still the case

| It's there for us next week if we want it, I think KR's already packed their bags' for their jollies' and Widnes assuming they win at Salford should be hoping Cas do them a favour in France, leaving us in 9th which at the start of the season was just about unthinkable.

Yep, we're playing for 9th and although we cant make the play offs (which in reality were always a step too far this season) but, 9th would give us plenty to build on for next season and all things considered 9th would be a tremendous finish for the club.
Onwards and upwards for The Mighty Trin.

| Haven't seen fulltime but it's no suprise that they're ignoring us, they've done it all year and in fact have done it for years.
If it were up to Hemmings, Stephenson, Arthur and Studd we'd be out of SL!
