Excellent post mate. I agree with this. Moore was pick of the forwards once again. I thought Riley tried his heart out for a loan player. Fox on the wing would have been a far better choice than Mathers? What grounds is Mathers been picked on here? Kirmond worked very hard why bring him back on when the game was gone, had a possible fracture for god sake. Sammut and Godinet halfs its not rocket science. Seaker not done it for me he looks ok but ok will not win us games.

I don't think that any other Wakefield player was close to being good enough on Sunday.

That is a very honest and fair assessment IMO. Your summary of players to be dropped is spot on. Collis was poor, Fairbank no better than what we have - on loan etc - and Smith needs to find his game again. Hope Matt Ryan is fit again.

Mathers was beaten by Carney, but it was not his choice to play there!

Cas have become very good at winning the ruck - I don't like the tactic, but it's the modern way; we are one of the few teams left who don't put 3 men in, sprawl all over the ruck and keep in contact with the tackled player right up until the point the ball is played.

In defence, we don't fight for our fronts (with some exceptions - Richard Moore being good at it, presumably having learnt at Leeds) and we don't thrash around trying to milk the penalty; nor do we step off the mark to play the ball, putting the markers off-side.

I lost count of how many times I heard the ref shout 'Quicker' or 'get your hands off the ball' to Cas players, but it went largely unpunished; why don't we do that?

This for me is the biggest cause of all our problems summed up in one post and a shortened version of what I was trying to say. It looks like we don't coach the forwards to do what has to be done in the modern game. Time and again we had 1 or 2 men in the tackle and because of the aggression Cas forwards ran it in, they got up quickly and got a roll on. It was everything we did not do and it set the platform for their backs (who aren't exactly world-beaters.)

So you wouldn't swap Collis for Webster, McShane for Milner, Tautai for Mariano, Godinet for Ellis, Sammut for Finn, Scruton for Wheeldon!

Thanks Adam. In my defence, here goes:-

1.Collis for Webster. No. In case you have'nt noticed Webster is more of a 2nd rower these days. You should have Said Shenton. Still no. Collis on Sunday was very poor.

2. McShane for Milner - 50/50 call that one but once again you have'nt choosen the correct Tigers player. McShane been WTW first choice hooker should be paired with Daz Clark who wins hands down in a match-up with McShane. I like McShane though and if Clark goes would like to see share the duties with Milner.

3. Tautai for Mariano - lets put it this way - I know who I would pick. Frankie has been superb for us this season. Tautai has hardly played. Mariano is also another bench player.

4. Godinet for Ellis - I'll give you that one but once again must point out to you that you are pairing up one of your starting players (he should be anyway) with a Tigers squad player at best. Sneyd maybe a better choice ?

5. Sammutt for Finn - Isn't Sammutt a full-back ? Finn plays scrum-half for Tigers.

6. Scruton for Wheeldon - Try Huby or Lynch for starters, but watching Scruton I probably would take Wheeldon anyway. Scuton looks like the most dis-interested player in the team.

Oh - I forgot about Lauitiiti. Yes I would have him in the Tigers team but it looks like his playing days are over unfortunately. He is undoubtedly WTW's main threat near the line and like Carney - most of the time he is unstoppable. A great player.

Dan smith looked to be carrying an injury to me.

Websters been starting at Right centre which is Collis's position and I'm not just judging on Sundays game.

Milners a hooker so is McShane

Having watched Mariano for more than 2 seasons and Tautai for 1 I'd pick TT everytime
