I agree with you. In all honesty none of us will know how he will turn out at Trin till he's on that pitch and showing us. I think most of us fans will give him time to settle.

He has played some games at loose for vulcans and also in halfs. His nrl games have been covering Maloney in halfs too.

From what ive seen and read about John he is a Half back but the Vulcans coach uses the loose position as an extra half in a similar way that alot of brit teams use it as an extra prop their coach uses it as an extra Half its an interesting way of playing the game i suppose as there halfs seem to rotate around nearly all 4 positions SO,SH,HK,LF.

Yes I know. Doesn't alter the fact that his has been recently playing loose forward! More a case of pointing out he has some versitiilty and i'm assuming his defence is pretty good for a halfback.

Wonder who we are going to release from the signed list. If the rumours are true and in addition to the famous 5 we have signed Isaac and possibly obst we seem to have a squad in excess of 30 players

We might not need to release anyone as there could be around 8 players who could go out on dual reg from the list we have on here. People like Hyde, Trout and Masselot could all do with some time out on Dual reg along with Kaye, Annekin and Walshaw.

IMO we need at least 4 if not 5 more signings - two props, two halfs and a winger (offload penny if we can)

Would be happy with 1 half (John) as I would like Moore to get a shot at the 7 shirt as I think given the chance he can cut it. But Smith and John would be great with Moore fighting for a spot would be great too.

We do need another prop or 2(Dowes/James)??

And a wingman I agree would be useful (cockayne/Tongia)

I really just can't wait for the squad to be completed and see how we line up. I think we will be a stubborn opponent for many next year.
