That's the sort I'm after, deffo in the McNamara mode and like him managed to pull off the same trick in management - incredible.

No way, Forshaw was great for us and Leeds and blossomed in his later career - for me Powell didn't he was just bland.

| Most of Leeds home grown players!
They all have an inflated and unjustified sense of their own worth, they carry themselves like they're something special and wear that chav like smirk on their faces.
Reality is they're pretty crap but get bailed out by quality signings that the club puts in the team around them.
I hate Leeds!

| Quote GET EM ON SIDE REF="GET EM ON SIDE REF"Stuart Fielden the must overrated prop I have seen

First 2, give over.....
Fielden was probably the best prop in the world for a period when he was at Bradford. Took too much hammer early in his career in my opinion, seem to remember when he was younger playing 80 mins each and every game for Bradford but getting more than his fair share of head high shots most games.
As for Scully, absolute quality player who gave his all every single week. Everything a loose forward should be, the perfect mix of a stand off in a 2nd rowers body who stood out in the big games, and hard as nails too. He would walk into the current GB side (not that says much, but still).
My nomination would have been a big lanky prop who did the rounds at a few clubs for a few years, I am tempted to say his name was Paul McNicholas but cannot be sure.

Think there is some truth in that. Maybe not just from other teams either but also other areas, Burrows who I like is from Cas or Fev I believe, Sinfield from Oldham etc etc.

All didn't live up to their reasonable billing for us.
Sinfield is vasty overrated. A useful player but not international class.
Dale Ferguson I feel isn't quite the prospect people think.
Possibly Alker was talked up a bit too much.

Forshaw was a very good player and so was Powell, what they both had this is not often appreciated by opposition fans is they were technically superb.
Forshaw was excellent throughout his career, he was not a late bloomer, but only when he joins your club and you see the kind of things he did do most fans seem to rate him.
Powell for me falls into that category.

I don't rate him
I like the parochial way you cast your net no further than Wakey, a club you rarely watch
