| If I had gone to that match not knowing what had happened in the previous ten Wakey matches, I would have just thought that we tried to be creative, but were beaten by a very capable team and would have had no complaints. On that basis, I have no complaints.

Hmm - not sure it's quite so black and white as the two positions you've described would indicate; there is, at risk of coming over a bit Blairite, a middle way.
You can, for example, also want your team to do well and support them BUT be reluctant to splash a sizeable chunk of cash until you see some evidence that your commitment is being reciprocated. That doesn't indicate a lack of commitment or not giving a monkeys - in my case, when I'm faced with buying season tickets for myself and two kids, it just seems like good sense.

| Each to heir own, but holding back revenue in the hope of seeing better players recruited is only hampering the clubs ability to recruit said players. If a sizable portion of the ST holders, which there aren’t a great number of by the way, even after a relatively successful season in 2009, decide to hold out then what is an already hard job in enticing players to come to BV will become even harder.
The club have made the full season ticket affordable this year with the instalments. As far as I’m aware they are not even charging an admin fee/interest for this facility. Whilst it is a lot of money to fork out in one go, it’s hard to argue with £29 a month for six months. Junior season tickets are superb value, even with the dross served up on the pitch for the majority of the season, at £20.
Supporters are quite understandably annoyed with how this season has transpired, however, if you want a better one next season then the only option is to help the club in their recruitment/retention drive.

All sensible stuff, but the club singularly failed to put my ST money to good and prudent use this season; in fact, as far as I can see, they replaced excellent, well-paid players with bargain basement tat, if they replaced them at all.
That being the case, despite the logic of your argument, I'm holding out for now until either my annoyance abates or we make some decent signings, whichever happens first.

I guess you didn't read my following reply, as i said i am a family season ticket holder, cost me nearly £400 for the last 15 years, I don't buy tickets in the con Club, i know they are sold week in week out by people who are given complimentary tickets, TBH last Sept we sold roughly around 400 season passes, compared to HKR who sold nearly 4,000 what does that tell you !, And 1 crumb of comfort when you order you season pass, just wonder how much the stewards make by opening the gate in the north end and take a bung to let fans in denying the Club of much needed revenue....

| The reality is, i've seen worse, i'm not overly happy with how the season has progressed or the lack of news regarding signatures, nor am i in the John Kear fan club. That said, i've seen this club in worse positions and battle back, which makes all those season's of woe pale into significance.
We're now on the brink of something very special in my opinion. What the club really needs is not for fans to desert it, but to stick by it and continue to show their support so that it can flourish. Yes it's hard, it's often depressing and frustrating, but that is sport. Nothing is ever easy in life, but through the ashes the phoenix rises, and i know i don't want to miss what could be a massive season for Wakefield on & off the field.
I'll be buying my season pass, i'm not sure i'll be able to make 50% of the games, we'll take some thumpings, we'll surprise some teams but mainly because i want to get behind the club and continue my support for Wakefield Trinity Wildcats at a vital time in the clubs history.
I'd hate to miss out on something very special just because of 5-10 games in the history of the club

I guess you never read my reply crow123, i have been a family season pass holder for 15 years, paying nearly £400 last year, i do not buy cheapo tickets why would i when i paid nearly £400 for a season pass ? like i said you never read my reply, spent thousands buying ticket's, shirts, WISCA memberships as well as travelling to Catalans and Crusaders this year, but i must admit i don't but the league express i read it at work, but would never consider myself a glory supporter sitting in the pub with me shirt on....lol, I am a RL supporter whether that be watching the Rams, Batley or Wakey, 1 thing for sure i will retain my WISCA membership and be on the weekend trips to London and Crusaders. I may buy the silver membership to get my cheapo tickets though for the Cat c games if thats OK with you ?

Which part do you want me to comment on, the bit where you said you could get a cheap ticket from the con club if you so wished, but have decided to point out that you would not do such a thing, or maybe that you will probably buy a season ticket for the Rams instead of buying a silver ticket or whatever colour it is for us thus enabeling you to pick the best games at Wakey, no doubt with a cheap ticket from the Con club. As I said before I hope it stays fine for you, Is there any wonder we cannot sell season tickets when we are competing with the likes of the Con club and those stewards you are accusing of letting people in for a small fee, as for KR selling 4,000 ST it would appear then that their stewards are far more honest than ours are allegedly of course. I will take comfort though in the fact you will get the best of both worlds and at the right price small as the crumbs' may be.

| Its not a dick measuring contest chissit ! I have been home and away for 24 years and have the right to voice my opinion on what has been ( for me ) one of the worst seasons in that time ! In years gone by we have had the threat of relegation hovering above our heads on numerous occasions and we have had to battle to the last game of the season to maintain our top flight status. They were shocking seasons with many a good hiding along the way but we knew that we had to secure enough points to stay up and would continue to battle until the last game of the season.
Now with the threat of relegation gone, teams like ours have been rolling up now for the last few weeks and are just going through the motions hence the number of hammerings we have received. It doesnt matter if Crusaders, Salford, Catalans finish above us or if our points difference is embarrasingly in the negative - the fact is our players lost the heart to play weeks if not months ago.
Now for those of you on here saying ' Wakefield Trinity ' is my life etc etc then fair play to you. You continue to spend hundreds of pounds on season tickets, shirts and so on but dont criticise us fans of many a year for saying that enough is enough.
I hope to god the meeting goes in our favour in September and if there are positive vibes and new signings made then maybe a lot of supporters along with myself will decide to buy a season ticket for next year but until that time its a no im afraid.

| After spending thousands of pounds on season tickets for myself and my family and brand new shirts every year as well as corporate sponsorship over the years , this season i havent because i am sick of how the club is run!! Ive got hold of complimentary tickets this season for every game and not paid a penny and until we keep hold of players instead of flogging them for a quick buck and letting quality signings go because we cant meet our contractural obligations to those players i wont be either. Trinity have been sucked dry by the leaches for years and I for one as are many others sick to death of it!!!! Transfer fees not used to bolster the team (wheres that gone) wages of players that have left not spent to bolster the team (lot of money saved) apart from the 90K paid to that numpty Cooke who in my opinion hasnt been worth 9K!!! These are the views of not only me but many others i speak to!!!!!!!

My irony meter has just blown up.
People are entitled to vote with their feet, and the product hasn't been good for most of the year, but by refusing to pay over your money until the club spends some sounds like a vicious circle to me, because the club can't do the things you want without your money.

There are so many errors in your rant that it begs the question of where to start!
1 There are no leaches!
2 Transfer fees used to keep club afloat - because people haven't 'supported' the side with their own money!
3 Tronc / Brough / Newton out - Charlie / Gledhill / Cooke / Rinaldi in!
4 Cooke's wage from us is no-where near the figure you put.
I'm not saying that it's been a lot of fun this year - it hasn't - but it wasn't for the lack of trying then and there is no lack of trying now - but just how would you go about convincing players that we are a better option than many others in SL right now?
On the other side of the coin, it was always thus, but we have always done well when having to find players with points to prove who may not have opportunities elsewhere - and that gives me hope for next year, whether mis-placed or otherwise.
Stick with the club - and be a part of it's new beginning!

| To put a comparison between Brough , Tronc and Newton(Silly lad) and the other four is an insult to the Quality and the Class of these 3 players!!!!!!!!
3 match winners to 4 bench warmers!!! Hell of a swap!

First of all nobody is denying you an opinion so lets not go down that route shall we, and as for a dick measuring contest as you put it, you are the one who is saying you have supported the club for X no. of years and spent so much
money on the club not me. It does not matter whether you have been watching for 25 miutes or 25 years you still only get one opinion and if you have the right to one then by the same laws I am entitled to one also although mine was more of an observation followed by a question. By your own admission we have had some shocking seasons so I will ask my original question again, what makes this year any worse than we have experienced in your time supporting the club. It seems to me that having experienced a lot of dross over the last 25 years we seem to have become a little too complacant with our expectations from the present setup over the last four seasons hence the massive disapointment this season. So you see pal we are all as fed up as what you are but some of us deal with it in different ways.
