Exactly, the only bullying tactics shown have been by Rodney Walker and his merry men saying no to Glasshoughton and any ground share HAS to be at Newmarket, why not Glasshoughton? oh! because it doesn't suit HIM and that's all.
Cas were fully up for an independent review for the best site, Walker shat himself and decided this cannot do and any ground share HAS to be at his place, essentially trying to FORCE both Cas and the council to back his project and not what was best for the district.
What he's done is essentially committed suicide in an attempt to kill Cas, and it backfired in a big way. Roll on next week when you all get to see the shiny plans that will be given to the council for approval

Petty comments =/= the truth, I know that's hard for you lot to grasp on here, but the fact Wakefield ran scared of the independent study is plain to see, accept it and accept the fact that no matter how much you like to say it, Glasshoughton will have a stadium ready for the 2012 SUPER LEAGUE season.

It sounds like Sir Rodney and Wakefield Trinity had every confidence in Stanley. The fact we were willing to go it alone, even at the risk of losing the £2m land loan shows an exceptional amount of confidence in Stanley!
I really think Dickie Wright is well out of his league if he can out maneuver the rights of Sir Rodney!

A couple of points you will need to explain to me here please. A lot of that rant just doesn't make sense.
Where has Sir Rodney used bully tactics anywhere along the line? He has put a lot of work into this project, he's not just going to drop it on the insistence of Dickie and Box!
How exactly has he attempted to kill Cas? If everything is in place, from the all important funding to the expected planning permission why would he want to abandon it all and divert the funding to a club that didn't want to compromise originally?

Because if Glasshoughton wasn't viable for Wakefield, Newmarket wasn't viable for Cas FOR THE SAME REASONS, and flat out refusing the review was a spiteful attempt to stop Cas getting any money, the council must have seen/anticipated this because they're giving the teams the original 2m again.
As for bully tactics, just look at the wording he's used in statements, it's all about what he wants or nothing he's either stubborn, stupid or a bully.
As for RW, he's playing a fantastic game of chess here, one move ahead for a change it seems.

However there was no need for a review,it was at the council request.
The same council that months earlier had already committed to loaning two separate pieces of land to the separate developments, suddenly, out of the blue, decided they wanted to still loan the two pieces of land, but to just one devlopment. The Newmarket development team saw no reason for a review, just for the council to stick with the original offer. No bullying by anyone, just maintaining the status quo, which is what happened.
Cas could have done the same, they had already been promised the loan of land,so why bother getting involved in a review.Of course if you were cynical, you may believe that it was only ever Cas that wanted a review because the original offer of loaned land from the council wouldnt be enough to close a funding gap.
Of course its about what Rodney Walker wants, talk about stating the obvious, his priority is to get Newmarket sorted, end of.In this being his priority it appears he totally outmanouvered the council, not in an attempt to be spiteful towards Castleford, but to do what is best for Newmarket.
Now just remind everyone, whos decision was it to move the goalposts on the loaning of the land?

Just what attempt has actually been made by Sir Rodney to stop Cas getting any money? Please just answer that even if you don't answer any of the other questions!
He is involved in a project to deliver first class sporting facilities for the whole district. He has been involved in this project for at least 2 years. He has worked very hard and has most importantly secured funding for the project. Why in all the world would he want to drop everything and consider something thats not of any benefit to him or the other people involved.
It's not Sir Rodney fault that Cas don't have the money to build a ground. It's not Wakey Trinity's fault, York Court Properties or the community trust fault! In partnership with all the relevant groups we have our project, all we need is planning permission and from the noises coming from the people of importance it's looking good for September.
Instead of been bitter to a man like Sir Rodney that is actually trying to help you, direct your energy to Dickie Wright that has yet again failed to assure his fans that funding is in place!

Providing Wakefield with a more viable alternative to Glasshoughton?
