No lack of impartial comments here! I think it is hard for both sets of supporters to comment on this without bias showing itself one way or another. Both Wakefield and cas posters are trying to spin this to their advantage. I have a feeling this thread will turn into a thread that will just go round in circles going nowhere.

My personal opinion is that no one is getting any funding what so ever. Councilor Box's recent maneuverings are just a typical politicians attempt of trying to create a situation where he can worm out of giving any funding up. It will be very politically damaging fro him when thousand upon thousands of jobs will slashed in the public sector cuts at the same time as brand new sports stadiums are been built (with the help of council money).

From a neutral perspective it does seem Wakefield are under the impression the feasibility study would not go in there favour and thus have bailed out and are going alone.

were just saving the council wasting more money on something thats not needed. If they stick to their original pledge of GBP 2m worth of land for each development I don't see the big issue - unless of course Cllr Box Knows CAS need the full 4m for their project

If he backed both stadiums, Labour would be gaining votes, not losing them. After all it's not direct council funding is it?
