Quote TRB="TRB"I haven't even heard his name until earlier today, and certainly don't know if there is any truth in this, but I am old enough and wise enough to hear what those who are responsible for this type of thing think of the player before I make any judgement.
So he's not playing NRL - we have no idea why that is the case. We have a young English lad we are trying to sign who wasn't even good enough for our neighbours, but we think differently. Gareth Ellis couldn't buy a club at one stage; Aaron Murphy came from the Leeds set up - there are loads of examples where we have proved that our judgement is good in these matters - and that's all it is, judgement.
At the age quoted, this lad sounds ready for first team football. The truth is that most of our rising stars are not - yet, and it will take a year or two to get there. I fully understand the reasons why folk would not be as keen on this signing, but let's get some facts before we condemn!

The judgmental nature of some on here beggars belief - do they never ever learn. Is no one ever worth a chance to these clowns. Have they not learnt from the likes of Moore, Wilkes and Brough or Garen Cassey to learn that not all good players come via the SL or NRL.
It's probably the same people who call JD a legend, a player who NEVER played NRL in his life and who played for the Dolphins in Oz who I believe are a lesser grade than Newtown who are the next league from NRL.
Do some people never think - it's threads like this that remind me why I don't post much anymore.
Trinity must have a few more enlightened fans that some who inhabit this forum.
Iknow I sound pompous, patronising and snobbish but it does my head in sometimes the same old guff. I know what the replies will be and if there was a better forum I would
