| 2nd half we sort of set out stall for the playoffs...and proved we can play more than one game, we owned their forwards like we did at warrington thus every time sam or broughy had the ball they had time!
basically we have the form prop in sl at present in stosic, and before you all go mental he owned morley at wire, the french forwards last weekend and the kr pack , ok without fozzard, today!
this tronc bloke better be good or hes in for a spell in the reserves!!

Brough pushed you around the field and was the controlling influence on the game in my opinion, pinned them back with his kicking asked questions with ball in hand.

| Great position to be in when you supposedly aren't at your best, yet still rack up your 5th consecutive victory by comprehensively beating the team lying 3rd in the league who were on a good run themselves..
I'll take that goin into the play-offs.

| To be fair to jonh when we got home after the match we all thought Wakey was immense. We then watched it on sky and the game did look a lot poorer from both sides with kr looking pants. All the sky commentators were repeatidly suggesting that neither team wanted to have a go and just wanted the game to end to get into the playoffs un harmed etc. They referred to obst kicking the ball out on the last tackle numerous times rather than us having an attack as another sign that we weren't interested.
On sky it always seems a very different game to when you are there.
That said you can only beat what's in front of you and to beat kr who had won their last 5 was fantastic for us IMO and validates our position.
Come on hudds!

Same here, was ready to have a go last night when I read some of the comments, thinking it had been a great game, but watching it back it was quite a poor TV spectacle.
The Sky commentators don't help though, kicking for touch seemed so right at the time and kept us in control - they failed to realise we were missing one or both half backs at this stage. We played one scrum without a SH and only the referee pointing it out got one in there for the next one.
Putting pressure on and keeping the opposition down on there line used to be seen as a positive, now they are calling it negative football - how the game has changed, or some 'experts' reading of it.

Agree entirely, watching the game at the ground it was a tight tussel which we came out on top. Watching on telly made it worse than it was!

I don't agree with that argument as I refuse to believe that any coach would rather play Leeds than Saints at the moment.
As for the game, yes, we weren't superb, but we soaked up pressure, arguably induced mistakes from KR and won a game against a higher placed side that, if you follow the arguments of the pundits, we had no need to overexert ourselves over with the play offs coming up.

Do you think that was a fantastic performance, do you think Wakefield have been far superior to that this year?'"
I will put my hand up to the fact that, when reviewed on TV, it was a more scrappy game than it seemed live.
It was a full-blooded affair for the most part, but there was a lot of disruption.
I can see why you saw it that way - especially with Eddie & Stevo trying to kill the game!

| Having watched the game on TV I can't help but get the impression that Eddie is very miffed at Wakefield making the play offs.
He did his level best to rubbish the club at every opportunity, starting with the level of support and continuing right throughout the game.
He only ceased his tirade when it became obvious that we were the better team on the night and were going to win.
Even then any praise he eventually coughed up was tinged with a pessimistic comment about us being incapable of worrying the Grand Final.
I'm sorry Eddie if Trinity making the Play offs means you have to make another broadcast from our dump and that you have to sit in that crows nest of a commentary box at least one more time.

Agreed - but that final comment is just playing into JK's hands!

| Actually, it was only Trinity's kicking that was negative. Dobson's kick was very speculative.
And Sam's negative kick for Aarron's try was..........
