His tackling is good enough no matter how big the opposition. Played it for many years but didnt learn how to tackle until i started playing RL.
If a fly half in RU has to make more than 7/8 tackles a game his back row is not doing there job right.
Plus big forwards are normally peeling off the back of a ruck or maul about 3 yards from the fly half and are more concerned with getting to ground, whereas in the greatest game of all the runners are normally taking the ball at pace, 10/11 meters from the tackler. What would you prefer Vickery from 3 yards or Morley from 10????

That's right. I played a game of union about four years ago, and this big ugly prop was running at me. I was grimacing and getting ready to look at his studs as he ran over me when he just threw himself at my feet. The fat pig nearly broke my shins. Hit-ups are bad in union, as there is every chance you'll end up facing the wrong way.
I could see Rooney doing well in union. He's got a burst of pace through the gap, and he'll see more of them in union. |

What does rooney regard as "Top Level". Is he saying that he can have either 2 more years in superleague or 5 in Guiness Premiership?. Surely he'd be signing for only a League 1 union club?? |

If JR is going to leave I hope he gets great support for his last few games in a Trinity shirt. He's been an integral part of our SL existance just as much as JD. He & his family have always had great support from the fans and we've shared some of the tragedies and triumphs of his personal life, more so than any other Wakefield player I can remember!
Good luck to him if he does go! |
