| Totally let Tom down over the last few seasons,
The club should have been adding quality to the ranks and building a team.
Good luck Tom I wish you all the best.

| As a Trinity fan, I'm absolutely gutted that Johnstone is leaving, although there is comfort in the fact that it's not to Leeds (or Cas).
However, for the player, I wish him well.
At this point, he owes Trinity nothing and it's been an absolute privilege to watch a promising youngster grow into a World Class player.
His debut at Leeds, was just remarkable and what followed has been as good as anything that I've seen in 50+ years.
For him, I hope that he gains some silverware and the move to Catalan probably ensures that he will get more chance on the International stage.
One of the best and certainly THE most entertaining players we've ever had, Some of those finishes just leave you gasping with admiration.
The real downer as a fan and for the club is that with so many rumours about our better players, we could be in an extremely perilous position and the mantra of not being a "selling club" could be in tatters.

I like Tom and he’s been a great player for the club… but if he’s going he should just go! I can’t cheer him any more.. he’s made his decision and it’s to not play for my club.
It’s the flaw in the contact system … great for players… poop for fans'"
Yeah I get that. That's how I feel - it's like you're cheering on some other clubs player, and that he doesn't want to be here. I'm sure though - when he plays - he'll give his best, but a clean break would have been better IMO.

| Will be gut wrenching seeing Tom in another clubs colours.
But he goes with my full blessing, it's been an absolute pleasure.

To me this is the most sickening part. Make no mistake IF Tom could only stay injury-free his best years are yet to come.
There's little point in bringing on your own players if they want to leave when at their best.
I suppose that's the difference between us and the likes of Saints and Wigan who manage to hold onto the ones they want to keep.
You have hope they are as RW and B as Jordy Crowther but, sadly, they aren't.

I always felt that when watching Toppo in Hull or Oldham colours.. I think that comes when a player has stayed for a long time then moves on…

| I think the reality is that he should have gone a couple of seasons ago. He has cost the club a lot of money for all of the time that he hasn't played, and the few times he has played in the past couple of years, his impact has been lower than it had been previously.
I wish him well in his move, and will fondly remember some of his brilliant tries.

| I've no problem with him playing to the end of the season.
Neither of the clubs or the player have let the info out so it could have been kept a secret. Not sure it's better with rumours I guess.
What will bug me, is if he has a completely injury free season. I don't wish injury on him, but I wish he'd had less with us.
Catalan will be good for him I'm sure, and with a young family you can't refuse the kind of money they'll be throwing at him.

Same here and by all report's ,Big Dave,Arona, and Miller ,They all go with my blessing and thanks for the memmores .The trouble as been when the Coach took over from B Smith ,the bulk of the team was sound .As soon as J Kear left the Coach let the team grow old and did not bring in any players to strengthen the first choice 13 .The quality in the squad got less as the years went by but most of the squad brough in were old and past by dateit for S League T J .Dave, Miller ,and Arona carried the team over the last three year at least .and that is why we are were we are .The nail in the coffin was letting Hampshire go and brining in Gaskell as said bring in players who are way past there sail

| So with Tom gone to Catalan for free and Miller going to Cas next season where do we go from here,I thought a bit back we were getting ready to run in the championship next season but at this rate we won't be good enough for that level !!

Unless Tom goes now, there will be no fee, he is out of contract end of this season. Nothing official yet from either club, no one outside Tom and clubs management knows what’s going on.

| If we do survive, Murphy Vs Johnstone will be interesting when we play Catalan.
I’m making an educated guess here, I suspect Tom had the choice of 2 NRL clubs and about 3 SL clubs. With a young family I think Australia was a bigger move than he and his partner were ready for, however Southern France was a nice compromise.
The quality of life will be much better than West Yorkshire and the warmer weather might help Tom’s aches pains and injuries

| He would go with my blessing.
He has been a great servant for us, but the games he's missed for us, I do think the money now could be better spent elsewhere

| Was told in shop today that Tom only had a 40% appearance rate whilst at the club ,on the one had if that’s correct and I’ve not the maths but he’s done marvellous to get such a good strike rate if true ,but on the other hand it is an awful lot of money sat on the sidelines and arguably our biggest star .By all accounts Kasiano has signed for the Wires freeing up money for the Johnstone deal .

I appreciate there were links but I’m not sure how true they were in regards the NRL.
The ability of the Australians to bring through top quality outside backs is ridiculous and I don’t think again looking at injury record it would be worth the risk of them overlooking one of their youngsters.
I’m thinking Catalans is a great move for him playing outside one of the most creative fullbacks in the league will suit TJ down to the ground.
Interesting to see what happens to Yaha and Davies now though.
2 quality wingmen there already and 3 into 2 doesn’t go.
My guess is Yaha will be looking for a new club.
