Sorry to see so many people demanding news when there appears to be no news to tell. I'm not sure what benefit people would gain if MC stated "discussions are ongoing. At this moment we do not know for sure where we will be playing our home fixtures next season. Once a final agreement has been made for a venue then we will inform the fans."

If that statement was released today we'd have more people on here moaning but it is probably the most honest and accurate situation of where we are. Please read the post by IA who is more in the know than many of us.

I appreciate people are concerned about where they might have to travel next year and if it is feasible. Surely we have until at least February 2016 to figure out a bus route or who to share a car with? Can you really not wait until there is something certain to announce?

I am more concerned about the more pressing matter of whether we will be in Super League next season or not. That is a more immediaten uncertainty for me.

Rental agreements and maintenance committments can be long and drawn out processes. The fact it is taking so long reassures me because I know that MC will not accept the first and most likely unacceptable deal. He will be negotiating the best option and conditions for us to make this club sustainable long term. He has demonstrated financial acumen in making our club profitable last year. Please let him get on with getting the best deal possible for us.

Whilst I agree with your sentiments, as it stands we are shortly to be homeless and this together with S/T renewal time (other clubs are already selling early bird tickets), the matter becomes ever more pressing.
Of course, we don't know at what level we will be playing next season but, this will be sorted in just over a fortnight.
Therefore, there should be some kind of announcement soon, maybe, hopefully, possibly ,could be.................

The club should be informing fans just when they expect to tell their "customers" about next season

Absolutely wrencat.

I expect the club to tell us customers about next season when they have something solid to tell us. The fact we have not heard anything only leads me to believe there is nothing firm to tell us.

I am sure that MC is as frustrated as the rest of us. I am sure he wants to release 2016 season tickets for sale asap so he can get some funds in, sign up some players and confirm our coach for next year. The longer this drags on the more there are missed opportunities for sales. For that very reason I am confident they are working to a goal as quick as possible. Yet it is also a goal which is not more detrimental to the club than some early bird discount season ticket sales which have been missed.

We have long ceased to be customers I'm afraid.

It's not a case of demanding a statement it's the fact that like it or not it remains a strong possibility that with time demands our up rooting could take place during the closed season and that would be the end of our association with B V. With only 2 months available from the close of the season to the end of the rent period it's leaving very little time to provide plan an event that would pull in some cash and give the opportunity for fans and the public of Wakefield to get involved.
For me it reflects the total lack of ambition of the club and it's total lack of understanding .
can you imagine any other business putting itself in the situation we find ourselves in.

I don't know if demanding a statement is quite the correct phrasing but, the supporters need some information to make their own plans and if the club don't act very soon indeed, a number of fans who may have got their £250 ready and with no information, they may just put the cash towards the cost of Christmas and although they may still watch Trinity next season, the opportunity for a decent amount of cash to come in during the close season may be lost, which will be a double whammy for the club.
We need something along the lines of "announcement soon" or "Cats to move" or as the thread suggests "Cats to stay".
Silence isn't going to help anyone.

Mr Carter club could have made a statement over a month ago along the lines of.
The club would like to announce a forth coming event to be held .on...... at our historic B V ground. Depending on circumstances it may be the last opportunity for fans and the general public of Wakefield to visit our historic home .
More details will be made available shortly along with a full list of activities.

There really should have been a decison made by now and even Carter himself said it needed sorting by the end of August at the latest to be able to put plans in place. But i'm afraid my interest in the way this club has been run has been eroded to the extent where after 30-odd years i couldn't care less where it plays next year or in what divison, i won't be getting a season ticket either way. I've spent the money that me and the Mrs normally shell out on that and the shirts etc on some flights for some winter sun instead, at least i know i'll enjoy that because for the last couple of years watching this now joke of a club has been nothing but painful and quite frankly just isn't worth the stress anymore. It just doesn't feel like my club anymore but is being run at the behest of a guy trying to claw some of his money back, something he admitted on here a while back. I know there are those who like to blow smoke up his backside and that is their choice and i respect his abilities as a money man but plenty don't like the guy and the attitude he has with fans. Never has there been such negativity around the place and the division between him and the many of the fans is a cancer that will bring the club down sooner rather than later. Some say he saved the club and without him it wouldn't be here now. Technically maybe so, but i don't quite agree with that fully. For me he hasn't saved it, he has just prolonged the slide into oblivion for a couple of years in which time the club has become even more of a laughing stock to the outside world.

If I was short sighted I could become a referee!:

I dont blame MC for wanting his money back but he would be more likely to get it if he didn't insult investors and genuine supporters on Twitter and instead communicated with the fans through carefully thought out press releases. Just a suggestion?

Boy email I think like many you do care. You are one of many that have expressed the ßame view. The easiest option is to walk away . I hate the path the club seem to be on at the moment but I suspect like me you have trinity in your veins.
Frustration doesn't come close to my feelings I'm angry and totally xx off at the total lack of engagement the club provides. Owners come and go, players come and go . Every club has its hard core supporters Trinity are in danger of loosing a significant number of season ticket and loyal fans.

All this cloak and dagger stuff is beyond dull.

YCP lost any right for their machinations to be kept confidential when their intent to defraud HM Inspector and the Wakefield public became clear; for mine, MC would have come out of this in a much more positive light if he'd have spoken to the media and made it clear that the club were playing a straight bat, whilst WMDC and YCP were colluding to avoid their responsibilities. And Rodney Walker, it would appear, has been about as much use as a chocolate fireguard.

Quote: TRB "If and when the outcome of the current discussions are known, an announcement will be made. At that time, perhaps, some of the discussions will be revealed and some of you at least will then perhaps appreciate just how difficult this has been on those involved at the club.

MC does not want to be the man who takes this club out of BV, but he also does not want to see this club continue to run in the circumstances he inherited and have, in part at least, put is where we currently are.

I don't envy anyone involved in this process!'"

By the time the club get around to telling us what's going to happen there'll be hardly any one left to listen and half of them won't care anymore.

Negotiations are ongoing - its complicated and both sides are keeping their powder dry in order to get the best possible deal they can. Whats so difficult to understand about that?
Everyone who is even remotely interested should already be aware that this could be our last match at Belle Vue - anyone who doesnt either doesn't care or is so far detached that they arent bothered. You can't market a match as 'possibly our last one here' who gives a stuff about that? If you are that bothered bout being at the last Belle Vue match than get yourself down on Saturday, then again for the Million pound match if its still not resolved and we are actually in it!
