Which made me check; I didn't realise that Villa had dropped out of the Premier League. I remember them coming to play Barnsley in the old Division 3 on a cold Wednesday night, back in the 70's. They hammered us 4-0 but perhaps more importantly, brought thousands of fans at a time when Barnsley survived on 2-3k for most games. Of course, they eventually won the Division 1 trophy and, if my memory serves me, the European Cup, once or perhaps twice.

remember that Bradford fans are the ones who sued us for spurious injury claims saying they twisted ankles on the terracing, then they sued us claiming racial abuse. SL better of without them, RL better of without them . Cost of everything value of nothing sums the Bulls up perfectly

OK I will probably get shot down, but I seem to recall that standard SL contracts extend beyond the season until January 1, to give some stability to players in the off-season. Or am I drunk again?
