With the price of fuel these days I'm surprised someone doesn't buy Wheldon Lane just to recover the hydrocarbon fallout from when Hick-up and Belch were operational.

| The more I think about it the more I think the line of "GH would be the beginning of the end" is an out dated mind frame & one not in line with how we appear to be run now.
Take marketing for instance; under the old regime yes it would have been. Because our marketing and PR were non-existent.
Not anymore. We are being run like a business and very clear signs are already there to see and have been noted.
Having a long term 50% stake would give us both a fresh start in modern surroundings. With half the costs. Meaning (if run correctly) more money to spend on other areas.
Our hardcore travel far and wide GH isn't much further than NM. If done tastefully (i.e half red white and blue seats and stand and half in black and amber or a neutral colour) and ownership wasn't held in majority by a single group (50/50) I'm starting to think this is a very viable option.
The only huge downside is that GH doesn't come with anywhere near to standard of design of stadium & the lacks the additional training and education facilities when compared to NM.

There's nothing "tasteful" about a stadium painted red white and blue on one side and black and amber on another. Has home improvement tv taught you nothing?
As for the rest - just as daft, IMO.

Not a chance for me. I travel 'far and wide' but home games in cas are a total non starter, outdated or not.

This is what people like Phil Clarke and Ian Millward don't understand when they go spouting off about us merging. Add our crowds together and you would have a decent sized gate, but the reality is that 95% plus would simply stop going. I would be one of them.

I can see that future generations who don't have the two clubs seperate loyalties may take to a merged side, but i doubt it would survive in the short term and those above mentioned don't care about the fans.
If that makes me a dinosaur then fair enough i'll have to live with it, its nothing to do with not liking Cas, its purley down to identity and what makes me a fan of Trinity.
I don't think they understand the rivalry that exist between Wakey,Cas and Fev, go watch some junior RL Clarky in and around the area and try to keep your eyes open. Milward, well imo he's a waste of a skin.

this question should be directed to the sky panel on boots and all, its almost like we are being forced by a tyrannic regime that you will do as we say
after the farce of the Leeds try on saturday is probably why I'm not enjoying watching the games any more on tv

| A community shared stadium would only work if it was in the middle of the WMDC a shared stadium at GH would only benefit cas. If the stadium was built in Ossett would cas want to play there? It wouldn't benefit them in any way and that the same with us and GH. Continue with NM or a plan b within the City boundries if we moved to GH it would be the end of Wakefield trinity fr me
