Have i missed something or has there been an explanation as to why the suspension has only just started and not in November when the test results where known?

Simply because the test was taken in November and the results came back the day he was suspended. |

Not as simple has that IMHO. You played a confessed drugs cheat and some consideration ought to be given to deducting points. I dont see why the club should benefit. |

Yes i agree they should take all Wakeys points of them and burn the clubhouse down and take all the grass off the pitch, its the only way.

If you care to read back through the thread I think you will find different.
I have made a consistent arguement that Newton cheated by taking a performance enhancing substance to which he has now confessed. The report states this was self administered and IMO was designed to allow him to train and recover from injury.
This amounts to cheating and no team should be allowed to benefit from it.
This isnt an anti Wakefield view but a PRO RL one. |
