me too it looks flat and boring just in blue and white, the flyer de ley had a shadow in the centre which gave it shape and didn't it have a red pin strip too to the surround

Wasn’t there an edict from SL to simplify badges?

I think it’s a bit odd to remove the red altogether but other than that it’s far more useable from a graphic point of view.

I did post a few months ago when the Wigan & salford badges changed, that wakey would be going down a similar route. Thankfully our rebranding isn't as obnoxious as their attempts and better than KR's, thankfully we still have our 140 year identity clearly displayed on the badge so its a

Most things in life are superficial and all about perception. I'm not in the field but to me the whole 'works better digitally ' is a bit of a red herring. Not once have I looked at any club badge and it thought that it doesn't work when viewing ot on a screen.
