| I'm pretty certain that the RFL now provide the Timekeeper

I wasn't sure, so I stand corrected, but the timekeeper isn't the stadium clock though is it? That I thought was just for the crowd, and they simply try and stop the clock at the same time as the timekeeper.
I don't know for sure. I'm asking rather than telling.

I hope not, it's usually miles off.

| I do believe that for televised games the Official RFL Timekeeper is synchronised with the broadcaster so the time on the big screen is in real time. Not sure when the RFL dispensed with Club time keepers but just another area they want to have control over, in the timekeeping case it's not necessarily a bad thing though

| Million pound game but a ten bob trophy !!!!
Looked like something knocked up by some school kids.
You can always count on RL making a mockery of itself .

I'm not sure which is worse, that trophy, or the rFL congratulating Toronto on their promotion on Twitter afterwards

I'm quite looking forward to a trip to London for this game, make a weekend of it. Assuming the dates all line-up with other commitments.

They were going to take their home games on the road in Europe.

It does beg the question about what their fans want/expect in the longer term.
IF they gain promotion and have to play 3/4 "home" games elsewhere, their home fans are getting desperately short changed, with only 9 ? home games to watch and lets face it, they aren't going to travel to too many away games.
The climate over there isn't going to change, therefore, they will be signing up for 3/4 of a season

| Personally pleased they didn't make it.
Hope they don't next year.
If they want RL then they should start their own league.
It's too ridiculous for words, to see them as part of our SL, and so typical of the RL to think this is the right way to expand the game.

This. If Toronto were an hours flight away like Catalans, I'd have no problem.8 or so hours is ridiculous:

Totally agree with this. Is it even an expansion? How many Canadians are in the Toronto team?
