| Just seen on Love Rugby League website that South Sydney half back Cody Walker, has been linked with a move to Super League from 2017.
At 26, could be a player just coming into his prime, and by the looks of it not loads of game time there.
Maybe coming over here with a point to prove

| Walker is completely untried.
It would be like getting another Miller. Great prospect but we'd be the ones building him.
I'm not against it at all, but to replace Finn, I'd like an established player to take us forward.

Just scored a lovely '1/2 back' try, though playing wing/centre for Souths this year so cannot really assess his halves play.

Where did you get walker from poptart?
He is certainly a good prospect i agree bags of pace and certainly creative from the little I have seen of him,
Rabbits have plenty of cover in that area too, once sutton comes back i'm not sure how much game time he would get
I think you likening him to miller is really fair, could be a great signing for us but like you say not experienced like Finn
I suspect JK would get the best from him though

| It was me that mentioned him.
It was on the Love Rugby League website earlier today, that he is interested in moving to England.
I thought the same. I feel we need back up, but to bring in a really established one now could ruffle a few feathers.
However, we do need proper cover, and also Liam Finn will be approaching 34 when his current deal runs out. Given that, I wouldn't be surprised if we are looking for a replacement.
Also other NRL players a little under the radar, are Mitch Cornish and Luke Kelly, from the Eels. Both out of contract at the end of the year, and the Eels maybe looking to release room on their cap

I've not seen anything of Cornish this year but i saw him play a few games last year for the raiders when Blake ausitn was injured and he looked good,
kelly is the more experienced of the three though, i think he's do an excellent job for us in the halfs
TBH i'm a bit done with experienced older NRL players coming to us, i'd much sooner see someone that not established (like the three mentioned) with a point to prove (and not history of being a drunken mess lol)

| I agree actually Musson.
I don't actually want to see an established NRL player. The "Established" that we can afford would really mean "has been" "free rider"
What we need in my opinion is someone who is young and keen, but has experience of running a team, just at the lower level from NRL.
Ironically Isaac John fitted the bill for me but it didn't quite work out
Captained the lower level NZ side and was successful but not yet established in the main team. So did Godinet, though neither quite hit the mark completely.
Both were nearly there and Godinet was a great player, but not quite the half back general we need.
Something like them at the next stage along would work for me. Maybe an NRL player blocked by a star wanting a shot.

| Some valid points on here.
I few months ago, on here, we were linked to both Jamie Soward and Peter Wallace, and I was one of those who would have been in favour of that. I was still in favour of that about 5-6 games in.
Since Chester has come in, both Miller and Finn have gelled, and look like different players altogether. I think Miller is starting to grow into a more all round half back, coming more creative. He is leading our try assists at the moment.
I think now, we would be better suited to one of the younger ones, who hasn't had too much of an opportunity

Cody Walker sort of fits this bill. Has played plenty of lower grade. Held is own in first grade at 5/8 for first few games of season at South's playing behind a beaten pack (don't know how much you could take from that). Has won a player of the year award in lower grades so obviously has some potential. Played at fullback today for South's even though he was named on the wing so he has some versatility too. He's also 26 and an accomplished goal kicker!
I'd be happy if it were him.

I call that prime Wakey lol its really hard for us but some one wanting to prove a point often works for us and that exactly what we need
I really liked Godinet too, I was gutted he went, was good to see him in the Samoan team last week, I thought he was a better hooker though, although I've being nothing but pleased at how Moore has played for us (another player with point to prove)
Isaac John, i think reading about him after he left he was really unhappy over here, some OS players just can't adapt to being so far away from home and it shows on the pitch, clearly the guy has talent,
JK will be involved in the new player process which really excites me
I'm just glad we are playing so well TBH plus things FINALLY seem to have really settled down for us off the pitch too, its a great time to be a wakey fan
We just need the crowds up now, i was gutted more stay away fans didn't see they wire match!
