| Ref clearly signalled a shot with his elbow, suggesting should have been much more than a penalty.
Should have at least been on report...though I was only 10 metres away from the incident and I couldn't see what actually occurred.
The torchlights of Wheldon Rd certainly didn't help. I have played on better illuminated amateur grounds.

That's something I noted on the night.
I didn't see the signal you mention - may have just missed it - but as you say, if it was a rasied elbow then a penatly seems scant punishment!

I know we don't get a lot out of it, but was the incident placed on report?

| It looked like a Rangi special - forearm in the face during the tackle; classy as ever, as he walked away, he leaned over and sneered something at Mathers - then walked into Justin Poore and beat a hasty retreat.
The lad's a germ.

In what way, he penalised us heavily in the 2nd half and all three of your tries came off the back of penalties. If he's on our side I don't want one that hates us that's for sure.

Personally I think he's one of the fairest ref's around. They are always going to get some of the decisions wrong without the aid of cameras, the games is played at a high tempo and they have loads to look out for, the only way to get a more accurate view on things is having 2 refs amongst the action as in the NRL.

TBH I thought he let you get away with murder in the first half, you could very easily have had two in the bin or worse.
Second half he did his best to even things up.
As for reffing Wakey v Cas games in the future; the way your club is going they're doing their best to make sure that won't be too much of a problem.
Don't blame the ref when you have much more obvious targets to pick.

Yea, Thaler signalled a raised elbow when he gave the penalty.
Mathers stayed down quite a while but, he did then seem to recover quickly.
Chase is certainly a nasty, niggly player and seems to think he's on the pitch to
wind up the opposition (like Bailey for Leeds).
If he concentrated on playing the game, Cas would be a better team.

Mathers the old pro, helping Mr Thaler make the right decision.

There's only so much he can do on his own, though. He doesn't have good enough players around him for him to excel.

| Lets hope Richie puts in a performance like Friday along with the rest of the lads putting some form together like late season would be great at this time given the games coing up.

Is Kris Welham safe? His celebration was much worse, although he didn't get anything chucked at him.

| There wouldn't have been anything chucked if Cas fans didn't abuse Mathers in the first place, failing to see what he has done wrong to them other than score
