While I'll give you credit for reading a pun into my comment, the real Plan C doesn't see us moving to Cas. Sharing with the Tigers is less likely to happen than me playing in the Grand Final this year!!!

| At the current moment we need get Newmarket out of our head. It's not going to be ready for 2012 and unlikely for 2013. We need to fully focus on delivering a viable business plan for Barnsley. I really think we could unearth some real potential in a move to Barnsley, it's just a case of whether our BOD have the ambition and drive to deliver ( I'm sceptical! )
Even though I thought I would never say this but lets take a leaf out of Crusaders book as an example. A move to a new town managed to attract in the region of 3K new fans. I'm pretty sure a move to Barnsley could be just as successful. Any new fans would more than make up for the loss of any fans that would not travel from Wakey. It would be a safe bet to say that the away support would be a lot stronger in a new ground with modern facilities.
Here's hoping!

The people of Barnsley hardly bother watching their own football team these days so why on earth would they watch a team transported in from another place that they have no link with. I just can't imagine it being viable at all if we do go into Barnsley it will be with a whimper not a bang.

As DeeHell said, it will take some effort (and money) from the BOD to make it work. A move to Oakwell is a lifeline - if the club doesn't have the nous or resources (or just can't be ar5ed) to make a success of it then we really must kiss SL goodbye and we'll fully deserve to be booted out. I think Barnsley could be a good, positive move. If we are going there in 2012 we ought to take some games there next season - get the ball rolling with some good ticket offers, posters in pubs, supermarkets etc, Daddy Cool in Barnsley town centre, work in local schools etc. It could work but we've got to [imake[/i it happen.

| If Oakwell is the Plan B then the club may as well do a deal with Barnsley FC and enable their season ticket holders free entry to SL games this season in preparation for 2012 should Trinity get a license.

We haven't made it work in Wakefield. I just don't see how we can make it work anywhere else.

Hey look I hope you and others are right but I just don't see it working maybe I'm just missing something. As was said last week feel like we've been led down the garden path more than once to often thus leaving me with no faith in those making the big decisions. Will we really market ourselves well in Barnsley?

| If we move to Barnsley we will be able to class ourselves as an "Expansion" club, get a new licence and receive special treatment from RFL like catalans and Welsh
Joking aside could this actually help us get a license?

I doubt they would buy it! Probably the only thing that would save us sadly.

I don't think we do have any other options and it guts me totally that we have ended up in this position. If we still had Belle Vue I'd go for a slow death in the lower leagues rather than going out bowing and scraping to Super League. It's been one hell of a balls up but at least it's been a fun ride.

Option are very limited and im with you in not understanding how the hell it got to this point, as you said earlier we dont make it pay in wakefield at present so how its going to pay elsewhere i have no clue, well ok it wont!
