| I asked in the shop about our home shirt a couple of weeks ago and was told that everyone who has seen them thinks they are great.
I asked what they were like but they wouldn't tell me except for they were red, white & blue (no shocks there).
I then asked when they would be available to view / on sale and was told it would be after the offer of the £25 away shirt was over.
Therefore taking I think the new home shirt will be very similar to our much wanted and much needed traditional design but the club want to get as much out of the away shirts before announcing this.
However, I have been known to get things wrong in the past ... known to get things wrong currently ... and therefore I'm sure get things wrong in the future.

| We also heard a big build up to this years kit, and it was awful. Marketing, that's all. If someone works in a shop, they are hardly likely to say that it was a bit iffy.
This is one of my beefs about our kit. A teams kit should be instantly recognisable as a teams kit. Hull FC and Wigan and Saints manage it every year. We don't.

| The home shirt is good - but it's not the old style replica Kyassor is wanting.
Mainly white, with red & blue markings, so as to be varied from the away kit on display.
I like the home one, the wife prefers the away one - so it's win-win!

| That's our problem with the kit though, in that we don't have a strip. We play in mainly white (most seasons), with some mix of red and blue. That is a all a bit vague, and so we don't have an identifiable brand in the way that Saints and Hull do.

| I've been saying it for a long time Slugger but I think we unfortunately are in the minority.....same as the stupid Wildcats name slowly year by year the club is losing its tradition and heritage..mark my words before long the name Trinity will be dropped completly, Sky,the official website and Wakey express already refer to the club without Trinity 90% of the time. I have never heard anyone shouting or singing Wildcats at a game.

I too feel that we should still keep the name Trinity as it is the reason for the clubs name from the start back in 1873, as for the shirts our colours have change from the early years of red and blue to include white which still remains our main home strip, modern designs have a big part to play with the sales, getting it right to suit both the young and the older end isn't easy

I think you've just answered your own question. The name will always be there for me and, rest assured, it will stay that way at the club as well.

| But to be fair when have you heard anyone sing a song with "Trinity" in recently. Most of our song focus around our city name of "Wakefield", fans will always use the name TRINTIY when mentioning us but i don't think you can rub out the usefulness of our "Wildcat" nickname, it draws the kids in and puts money in the pockets of the club.
While i do agree there should be a compromise i.e Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, I cant do with people slag off the club for adding the name (my old man's the worst for it, and god knows what my grandfather would have said to "Wildcats"icon_wink.gif, some people are just short sighted, YES WERE OLD and we can't see the need, but it brings kids and families in and they put as much money as us into the coffers so who are we to shout them or the club down?

| I think the Wildcats versus Trinity argument, whilst not unrelated, is really a separate issue. As far as branding through shirt design is concerned, it has never really bothered me that much whether we have hoops or "v"s or something completely different instead, as long as the club colours are on the shirt. The day I'll be worried is when the home strip is blue and white, or, God forbid, amber and black.... or claret and gold.
