can somebody please explain the rules for this weekend ? stanley u12's have heworth on saturday yet we are playing eastmoor in the cup..asked for the game to be postponed but heworth say they want to claim the points and an 18-0 win if we don't play them! i thought that the cup took priority !!!

doesn't it get stupid adults are just using the kids like toys

from what I assume cup games have always taken preference before league games even in the Super league

I totally agree. I'm starting to think that what happens on the pitch is taking a back seat to the pettiness and aggro between teams off it.

utter disgrace from a coaching team whom should know better , may i suggest you get lee or someone to contact hull wyke and see if their scheduled game this weekend is on as heworth are meant to play them in round 2 . you may end up giving the game 18-0 and heworth needed the postponement as well (dont no one say i still don't look after Stanley



)if it is call their bluff and say ok we will play . i know where id put my money on and it would defo be stating with the Wakefield club.

i had an idea this may happen with the clubs with no scruples and 2 rounds in and hey presto , all this creates is bad tension . swings and roundabouts what will happen now next time stanley feel up against it ? and then so.....

all because BARLA and YJL have had a bitch fest.

All I know is - we were supposed to play Cas Panthers away this Saturday & then cup on Sunday - Cas (brayton) told us they'd be putting in a postponement for for the game cos they are also involved in the cup . Turns out if WE don't put a postponement sheet in Cas get the game 18-0 !!
How the chuff does that work then ??

Is there a number of postponements you are allowed? At this rate the intrim season will finish about the same time the summer season starts.

all sorted, we had to have a postponement in by 21:00 last night which got sent in so all should be sorted now.

i didnt know that ernie and imho that would be very wrong,the onething that people are forgetting here is the welfare of the kids who are been asked to play two games in 24 hrs.

fortunatley when you get two sets of grown ups running things together you can come to a sensible decision like the one between ourselves and crigglestone.

i know the coach at heworth very well and this doesnt suprise me one bit and he should bloody grow up and realise the game is for 11/12 year old boys not 30/40 something coaches.
