Indeed Snowie.
On a serious note, there are 5 of us, with some picky eaters in the house, not me, and settling on what the Friday night after work treat is, we can never agree. The one we go to do diner kebabs too. Mrs EW and my daughter love a dirty kebab now and again, I do too.
Don’t know about tonight, I might start WW3, and suggest Indian. I’m alone on that one.
Anyway, back to MC

Absolutely no problem to this it will need cover that's all to mitigate a risk of dropping items. It could also be built to access from the Benidorm flats

The problem of adding a cover which must be the case would reduce the number of rows because of the view from the bar. This would then bring in the problem of the fence which if not removed also limits the number of rows further hence I just cannot see how it will work.

| Limit the number of rows , how everybody is talking at the moment they won’t need the bloody temp stand because everyone is stopping at home so will be surplus to requirements , and the spare change can go towards that top NRL star some are hoping will drop in and save our wretched souls . My take on all this is leave it to the bods that are in the Know and get behind the team instead of going off on tangents and speculations All it’s doing is causing spats on what was once a calm even keeled site .

The temporary stand won’t have as many seats as the current East Stand, enough for season ticket holders, and a few for pay on the day/in advance. MC did say Drinks will not be allowed onto the balconies, and it’s quite possible that the poster who mentioned the hole in the roof, well he might need an umbrella. , Oh one other thing I forgot to mention, MC, said that six months ago when funding was agreed, the redevelopment expense was calculated, since then the inflation and building costs, club utilities gas electric etc, has soared by 30%, this is why certain things planned six months ago, are now having to be scaled back. I know every one, business, sports clubs etc are in the same boat, but Trinity’s pockets aren’t quite as deep. Money is tight for everyone and the club has to manage its money wisely, even if it disappoints someone.

| Regarding the temporary stand. I know next to nothing about the detail of how it will all work, all I know is that the project was explored in depth previously and was abandond as being too problematic. All that aside , perhaps the club have found a workable solution, i hope they have. However from my understanding planning would be required and it must also satisfy building regs and ground safety regs. As yet i am not aware that all the permissions have been obtained. Further to that , I would have thought there would be a few weeks required for construction, ground preparations and alterstions etc.
Lets assume the stand has been sourced and everything is ready to go, if so we cant hang around much longer as the planned date for East Stand demolition is just over 5 weeks away. Surely this temporary facility needs to be up and ready before we start pulling down the old stand. Because if the East stand is dropped and this tempary stand is not in place , I would have thought we would be in a right mess ground wise.

| Makes sense to me to delay the commencement until the end of August after the final home game of the season, give the club the time to sort the temporary stand out properly. We've waited 60 years for a revamp, whats another 7 or 8 weeks? Bear in mind that this years season ticket holders for the main stand have purchased their memberships on the expectation of being in a seated COVERED stand. If the club can't provide this the they have a problem and will need to offer some form of recompense for services not provided for the 4 home games affected, so there'd be another hit there. Next year people will know exactly what they are buying so that wouldn't be required. Given we are so close to the supposed start date and there appears to be plenty left to sort surley just put the date back a few weeks and solve a couple of the problems.

Well JM would really have to back peddle after being on TV and making the huge announcement about the stadium development. You are right of course, like I said above we seem to be cutting things fine.

As far as I am aware mopsey yorkcourt have not released a penny. If so ,as you suggest nothing will happen till it arrives.
However, plenty of folk on here are of the belief , the funds are in place and work will start on the promised date , first week in July.
Therefore not long to wait so lets see.

Exactly my thoughts too. There are a lot of posts on here that are speculative at best and provide no evidence at all of what is or isn't.
Do those posters think for one minute that the issues they raise are not apparent to the MC and JM et al?
Leave it to those who KNOW what they are doing instead of dragging up dirt that probably isn't there.

Well I think we will know pretty quickly let’s just wait and see who is correct because no east stand would be obvious.

JM, reiterated yesterday at the Friday lunch that the demolition will start July 4th. I’ve no reason to doubt him, and I’m confident work wouldn’t start if the funding isn’t already in place. I know the winter weather will dictate the pace of the building work, but if all goes to plan, JM, explained that it’s possible early next season, the North End of the new stand has enough construction to have seats fitted for members to use. While work continues to the South end. At that stage it will be an empty shell.

| Both MC and JM answered any questions put to them. They often answered in depth.
