| Just what are the issues. 8 know about the tag issue and now new years eve party but I can not think of anything ells.
I agree with his dip in form but you could say that about most of the squad last season, I hope he and the rest of the squad can hit top form and trturn to winning ways.

That first one alone led him to missing a substantial amount of the season, can you highlight any other player out of a pool of around 400 that refused to wear it?
There are more than you think, one of which I have not seen discussed on here but a lot of fans are aware of which was around the period I heard the club was looking for offload him, that obviously changed.

I just hope he can knuckle down and have a good season on and off the pitch this season, at this point I would not be distraught if he went and in exchange we got 2 solid hard working props in his place.'"
Yep that’s how I see it. Like it or not the day of the bad boy/maverick are gone, unless of course you’re still providing the goods.
I see no evidence that Fifita has the attitude or desire to get back to the player he was 2 years ago. I think people are pinning to much on this happening, maybe he will but does he strike people as the sort who can drop a grudge and knuckle down? Not to me he doesn’t.
So yes I’d take those two replacements all day long because I personally believe Fifita is a spent force. Those two hard working props would be far more useful than the player we have today.
Still hope I’m totally wrong and he bounces back but life’s taught me that some people never change. I’m now in the frame of mind with this player of what the hell is he going to do next.

I’m surprised an expert like you doesn’t recall numerous other incidents, one being a very high profile court case. If I recall this cost is his services for a while. Try doing some research.
There is of course the anecdotal evidence regarding his behaviour and the scrapes he’s been in. Even if you discount 90% of it, it’s still an unimpressive list.
On the plus side I can’t deny the mans also done some great stuff on and off the field but there comes a point where it’s no longer working, for both parties.

| Well the self appointed king of the forum has spoken. You seem to be the common denominator regarding arguments on the forum and I for one will not take part in your bile.
I recently challenged your superiority complex and noticed I did not receive a response and fully expected it would be put on the back burner for you to have a go on another subject not long after.
Sorry but it's not going to take much more of my time or effort, you sir are not worth either.

| No need for all the posturing guys. Neither of you know the facts. Just your opinions same as the rest of us.
My opinion is that Dave is high maintenance. No one minds high maintenance when the benefit is higher.
Over the past year or so the benefit has dropped significantly.
Dave needs to understand that he needs to lower his maintenance or improve his benefit......or go.

Am I really, not anything you say or do then. Always someone else.
No superiority complex at all, i state it as I see it and generally always frame it as imo or ‘I may be wrong’.
You stated Fifita has only been involved in two issues, that clearly isn’t the case.
As it happens I hope I’m wrong but not telling it how it is doesn’t help.
You seem to take things very personally, trust me if you posted something I agreed with I wouldn’t hesitate to back you. A forum allows you to express your views it also allows others to challenge them.
There is a tragic little group of posters on here who only like to express their opinions and their opinions of others but cry wolf when they get it back and blame me in particular. Don’t go down that route, I quite like your input, the fact that I’ve disagreed with every word so far is incidental.

I think we do know some of the facts ie those in the public record, this latest one being the most blatant.
You are correct about the high maintenance, the issue now is whether the return is still there, I’m far from convinced it is.
I’m speculating but I bet the club would shift him in a heartbeat if they could get a decent deal. I’m utterly convinced Fifita wants out. Not a good mix is it?

Tbf I think Battye and Olbison would fit that mould. Not world beaters we know that but both proven grafters. How available they are I don’t know, I assume the latter is.
We are hamstrung because we only have domestic players to choose from.
The only other options are to play Tanginoa at prop or convert Westerman or Crowther.
I thought Crowther played at prop as an under 19? May be wrong, he certainly looks like he could now. Whether either would want to I don’t know.
It’s not for me to advise either but if they wish to increase their market value propping seems to be the in demand position.

| Olbison isn’t really a prop, he’s spent pretty much his whole career at second row or at loose forward. He could probably cover prop but as has already been mentioned we’ve already players that can do that, we need genuine front rowers rather than more guys playing out of position.
Battye is the one we need but last i heard London won’t release him, at least not for any deal we are prepared to offer, and he is happy to stay there until the end of his contract to try and get them up this year. It sounds like it’s this season or bust for London as a full time club. By the sounds of it David Hughes intends to scale back his investment so if they are in the championship in 2022 then they will be part time. So we may have to wait a year for Battye until then unless we can somehow come up with an offer they can’t refuse.

Played prop at scholarship but John Kain said he was a 13, myself personally think he wants more bulk to be an affective prop with his height where as someone like Batty are shorter and stocky.

| Crowther has played at prop for the first team previously hasn’t he? He proved very adaptable last year, certainly wouldn’t have called him as a starting Hooker this time last year.
Hopefully his contract is sorted soon as don’t want to lose adaptable and reliable players

| I personally wouldn't make Crowther a prop.
I'm sure he could do a job but his best future is in the back row imho.
