They have the backing of the Stadium Trust and the Supporters Trust. We are all united on this.

The only things they will take any notice of is people power, bad publicity and the club moving out of the city,so what's to be done?

The utter arrogance of you people. You and only you bought Corbyns deluded economics into this.

But thanks for correcting me.

Nothing until the end of July, lets see how it pans out from here. I've a feeling i know but given all the bluster both ways and setting of dealines in the last few days it's now a case of wait and see for the next 5 or 6 weeks and hope something comes out of it.

I don't think he's asking for clarity; rather, he seems to be attempting to provide it - in that statement could be read as you and CB offering to step down from the *club* - whereas what I think, and hope, you were suggesting, is that you'd step down from the Trust if that's what it will take to get things done?

I fully appreciate that RW is a sneaky slimey bar steward but I don't think this is a takeover of the club, more a take over of the trust.

Well, it will either happen or it won't. I know that MC doesn't think it will, from seeing his tweeted response to that actual question last night. I'm just hoping that the friction is sufficiently strong that Rodders will pull it off just to annoy everyone. What worries me is that people in the know think it's just bluster to deflect the blame, and the blame will come at some point.

I do believe that there is an intention to build it. I think also, however, that the reason lies in the ability to line certain pockets, and not out of any altruistic purpose. It only works if it fills the clubs coffers. Everyone knows that the reason teams prosper in modern stadia is because of the revenues they generate, through catering and corporate entertainment. If it fails because of Rodders and Yorkcourt won't commit to that, the questions have to be asked about who was intended to profit from them.

We'll know whether we are doomed as one of our best ever super league seasons comes to a climax. Nice one Rodders.

You are probably right Jinjer, but we have to ask why...what are his motives ??
As has been stated on here, the people who have had dealings with him will tell you that he only ever gets involved in things that are beneficial to himself and now he has turned his back on MC and sided with Box and Yorkcourt.....I wonder why ???

Have I read bits right, are the club gonna be able to increase revenue streams if a ground is Builth? Or is someone else outside the club going to profit from this?

Looking on the black side.
IF a ground is not built, will there be legal challenge undertaken? If so what has Box, RW, Yorkcourt done illegally?

As I said at the beginning - the value of a new facility is the additional revenue streams it can provide to the club; is the new Trust pursuing that in the same club-centric was the original Trust was, or are YC using RW because he is more amenable to a deal that softens the blow to their pocket?

And I'd still like to know if RW has any stake in any of the entities that will benefit from the proposed new arrangement.

Anywho - the ball appears to be in Rodney's court; MC has made his position very clear in the club statement, so it's over to the White Knight.

Impossible to say without knowing the details of the deal on offer! I will say that we currently pay a market rent on BV plus all the very considerable maintenance costs. With a new stadium these wouldn't be as high so even paying a market rent there would be a saving there you would have thought. Plus the RFL are now going to be charging us if our ground doesn't meet standards so BV is about to get even more expensive. Again not the case with a new ground. So from that point of view it would likely be more profitable on the assumption that the rent price isn't ridiculous. The additional revenue streams are the ones that will be the sticking point. I guess we want it all day every day whilst the new trust probably wants a management company in place to run that side of things and take a cut of the pie to effectively pay for the build over time. But all guesswork right now.

As for the second part of your post from the outside they've done nothing illegal other than possibly not include Newcold in the trigger point. But even if they had that point would not have been reached yet. Now whether there is anything else kicking around not in the public domain we don't know but you would have thought if so then there'd be a stadium at Newmarket by now!
