| Wildie must show more this year. This is his chance. When in the team he hasn't exactly taken his chance with both hands. TIME TO STEP UP !

He's shown plenty when he's got a run of games, when he's got the odd game, like against Wigan away, he's struggled like any player would, particularly in a pivotal role. At 23 he should've had more game time than he's got and that is a failing of the coaching over the last two years. Same can be said for a number of the homegrown players.

| ....in part a failing by the coaching set up but he has to take some responsibility there as well.
He was behind Aiton and Smith for the two roles he plays as well so not sure either he nor Agar could really put him above them
I do think he will play a big part this year. He seems to be the centre of a lot that happens off the field so even at 23 he could be part of the senior players group
I assume Kirmond and Mathers is above him in Captaincy role but I think he has it to be a Wakefield Captain

I was thinking more the obsession with Wood who was off like a shot when the opportunity arose.

I think to fit in with the homegrown regulations they'll have to be in squad somewhere.

| Been impressed with jowitt in particular ,but as I've posted on here many times our u16s although unbeaten didn't face the top teams if they can impress against all the top teams at u19 level I'll be swayed till they do I'll be unconvinced seen too many potential superstars fall to earth

| So now we have another prop, we need as good a quality half back as we can afford.
Where else do we need good quality cover? I'd like another relatively experienced prop, another H/b cum hooker to help Wildie out, where else do we need to cover considering I think it was Peter Smith who mentioned 7 signings a few weeks since.

| As I understand it we have made an offer to a scrum half. If that turns out to be a good dea and the McShane rumour is truel I think we have finished the basic squad. We can then add quality in some areas to make it better.
