One of my best friends is a very loyal Castleford fan, I really enjoy the banter, especially after a few beers. If Castleford were to go down the pan I'd be devastated for him, but wouldn't care one iota for the likes on the Casforum site. They don't represent the vast majority of Castleford fans, just a bunch of pathetic sheep, tainted by the state of fear and desperation caused by the incompetent leadership.

Why are they not more concerned with the 1 in 100 year flood reports that sign the death of a supermarket on Wheldon Road? Because picking harm in what we do takes focus from their own failings. Us failing is the one & only development plan Castleford have had in the past 20 years. Bottom line.

Although lets be fair, there is enough of their garbage touted on here so it's a lot of tat and plenty of tit. From the outside looking in it's quite easy to see why fans of other clubs get balled off with this tiresome Wakefield/Castleford oneupmanship. I'm a Wakefield fan and I'm pretty well tired of it. Between us I think we've almost reached propaganda melting point!! I can't wait til the decision is made, we know either way, and all the while, a little thing called rugby league might take our minds off it all in the background. Roll on Widnes away!!

I have not seen the Section 106 Agreement but I know that the Inspector is discussing Conditions and the Section 106 tomorrow before closing Statements from YCP, WMDC and LCC.

The Inspector is a very intelligent man and he is not going to allow YCP, assuming he recommends approval of the application, to build out all the B8, Hotel, Restaraunt etc. without some guarantee that the Stadium is built.

I think it is resasonable to allow YCP to develop some of the site before the Stadium in order to receive receipts to fund their investment into the Stadium and I suspect that they will be allowed to build some of the B8 prior to the Stadium.

As they have said work on the Stadium will commence mid 2012 and take 59 weeks I would not be surprised if they already have occupiers for a fair amount of the B8 and they are wanting to secure those occupiers and start on that as soon as possible so as to generate the receipts to build the Stadium.

I'm certain there is no problem - its how Developers work.

Problem is, there doesn't seem to be a clear indication of what is going to happen and what is agreed, which is why our cousins over the river are jumping on it. It is vague at best.
Would be nice to see (or hear if discussed tomorrow) what the schedule is.

Sandalcat has sumed it up nicely. We can also assume WMDC learnt their lesson at Glasshoughton and they will also be
making this agreement tight so the stadium gets built. The last thing WMDC want is another building plot for a stadium with no funding to complete.

Totally agree but this is what licensing is doing to our great game.

Let me be the first to wish you well in achieving your goal of a new stadium at Glasshoughton. I would love us both to be playing out of new stadia by the next licensing round and continue our rivalry in SL 2015 and beyond.

Although I can only go on what I have read on here, I get the impression that it all went well and I can satisfy myself with the thought that we gave it our best shot, and if it isn't approved, it never was going to be. If so, we would have two years to get Belle Vue into a shape that would satisfy the RFL. Without being critical of other grounds, it would be possible to get it to be as good as Craven Park and Odsal and Wheldon Road. If we can't, then that is it for ever, but I feel optimistic.

I may take him up on that, i'm "thinking" of building a stadium myself and im "thinking" of building it at NW.
