The RFL will give us a franchise only on the basis that we move into GH, we've agreed to this & SP et al are funding the immediate development of the ground. If we'd not agreed to GH Parkin would have got into bed with Castleford without us.

My only reply was "Thanks for that, won't have to waste my evening on the 8th now, the dog should be happy I'm in!"

Exactly. The owners know our feelings on GH and to come out with a 'you won't be disappointed' statement doesn't quite tally up with telling us we are moving in with cas. Although to be fair I probably wouldn't be disapponted, i'd be livid!

I agree, that's the least likely rumor that's going around, well I hope so :/ hope it is Parkin and new ground though, I'll have some of that, just not GH, the RFL would see that as phase one of a merger

I would still back the club at GH. If it was only until nm was up and running.

Can't see GH being built any quicker than NM if at all.

I remember reading something in Lge Exp last week about Eddie Stobart becoming the new sponsor of the SL.
It was an article I think by Martin Sadler about how the Stobart Waggons (all branded up) would be a great marketing tool to promote SL up and down the motorways.
Ideal marketing if you ask me, replace Stobart wagons with Clipper wagons and a nice little deal with the RFL and hey presto.

Having said that, maybe Cedar Court has a better fire exit, with a motorway next door. He can get the slide show going and be half way down the M1 before the lights come back on.

I'm going with Clan's notion that it's a link-up with Ossett Town, with part-funding from Yorkcourt, so it is still linked to Newmarket, but the smaller footprint of Newmarket (ie, without the stadium) takes it out of green belt.

You only have to have to read a few threads on there to realise what hate filled morons your dealing with. I can honestly say I've never read as much hateful garbage on the internet than what gets posted there! It seems a lot of employees at the club don’t seem to know what’s it’s going to be, nevermind the Muppets on there.

In reality I just can't see Glover holding a meeting to reveal what will be unpopular news.
