He was a good player just Tim Smith showed he could offer alot more thus he called the shots.
Some people wrote Isaac off wrongly.

| Quote: Wollo-Wollo-Wollo-Wayoo "Nowhere near the shock of losing Willie Poching to Leeds when he was at his peak and we had very little strength in depth. Was gutted the night that story came out.
Can't say I was surprised when we lost Nigel Wright to Wigan though.
Gareth Ellis to Leeds was always on the cards that was easy to swallow too.
Mark Graham leaving left us a bit bare but Steve Ella soon stepped up.
Don't really see the loss of Tim Smith as anywhere near as pivotal as the above.'"
In the context of this team and our situation I think he's more important. I can only see a mass of negative reaction to this. The fans that have already purchased STs will feel cheated for one, how many of them will honour their monthly payments? I can only see this having a very demoralising effect on the players leaving it an impossible task to getting any kind of decent performance in the next 2 games. Two hammerings in the last 2 games are going to have a massive bearing on the sale of STs.
If we don't lose any other players else I feel we may have a fighting chance next season, History shows we do well in adversity. It's the financial damage that will be done by this sale (the knock on effect).
Nothing from the club as usual, but then again I don't want to hear from Elston because like many other the other fans I don't trust a word he says. The guy has been shown to be a billy liar!

| As deehell has said losing smith is more important than losing a player. Sends out a bad message, we will sell anyone for the right price.
We were building a team around smith. Our pack has not been that effective this year, and it will take at least a season for a new half back to bed in. Time we have not got.

Exactly !!
Its not the player its the context of the situation that alarms me. Lets not forget the CCJ',s and winding up orders plus the loan from the RFL the club could be on the brink of going under again. If we manage to stay afloat all we have to look forward to is a life in the lower divisions.

He showed zilch.
He was poor in defence, maybe not such a problem.
In attack he was slow, failed to take on the line and only had a flat pass.
Off the field I don't think he was enjoying himself that much either.
Tbf to the club they gave him plenty of time and made the right decision.

Sure he does great things occasionally but our overall control of a game and last tackle plays are pretty woeful and that comes down to the halves. Some of the time I get the feeling he wants to show his full repertoire of plays rather than doing what is effective.
My only concern is that we find a competent half to replace him who is a bit more of an all rounder and plays the percentages better. We are thin on proper halves as it is.'"
I do think the same. he played for a contract last year and done not much this year. Ben played well until he got picked for England has been crap this year and as for Agar and the French thing, bloody hell

| Isn't the problem for the club now, and in the future, that we do not own our home? The only assets are stock in the club shop and whatever value a player's contract is.

But if it's in your blood, it's in your blood. Perfect opportunity for Agar to make a name for himself and get the young 'ens blooded. We have sold players, gone into administration, CVA's, had points deducted but still managed not to finish bottom. This is what makes me keep coming back. It may not be pretty but that's Wakey!'"

Sounds like we finally have a proper business brain running the club, can't argue with why he's sold Tim Smith. They will be an interesting team to watch next year!
Thanks for the 'spark' Tim, good luck at Salford.
