I don’t get the many coming on here lamenting the Trinity fans for biting back to the Halifax Chairman’s comments with the argument “How do you know what was included in Halifax’s bid?” The very same could be directed back to those very same people and the Halifax Chairman.

The simple fact is, Trinity are not an expansion club and have no reason to be in SL ahead of Halifax other than if their bid was superior.

By encouraging Fax to pass the criteria just to give the ' application ' process some credence , the RFL have shown themselves up for what they are again

Pathetic , and yes while the Fax Chairman is entitled to be upset , it is with the RFL and not yourselves he should show his anger , I have to admit I'm glad we hadn't ticked a box , because I would not have been happy if you had been placed above us

we just want to get back to the league that we feel we belong in. Now and this is a big IF, if they manage somehow to come down to the championship next season and carry on for the next 3 years, they will be back in, leaving us in the championship for at least another 6 seasons.

hang tight fella , it may be sooner than 3 years . if this club or any goes into admin in the next 3 years they should be replaced that's more or less what was said . will it happen ? i don't know problem is the atmosphere is bad for quite a few clubs and if the RFL do wakey for it ...OR IF THEY HAD DONE THIS TIME then they have to the next time.

Why would the Crusaders carry on? To rebuild for less profit for a future they know they can't sustain? Crusaders in Wrexham were in it for the cash, they said as much.

I reckon the RFL dropped one this time by guaranteeing a promotion and saying they won't expand. It ruled out the expansion possibility. I don't think they'll rule anything out next time, including going to a 15 or 16 team league. You'll get the same promise Widnes got, provide your chairman winds his neck in. If what Clan is saying is correct, and he is one of the few on here who is well-connected enough to know, the blame might lie nearer to the chairman than he would like.
