To say Chester out is just daft.

BUT...i personally think he got it wrong by publicly stating that it wasn’t his priority and that finishing top 6 was. It gives a negative mindset from the get go and shows a lack of ambition imho.

I beats me how you can’t get your team up for the challenge cup ,a chance to get the fans excited and some much needed money in the coffers .
When you see a young forward run straight through arona and hirst and scores under the sticks ,it makes you wonder what the hell is said in the dressing room I’m afraid it was the Danny brough show yet again .

Chessy out is plain stupid as for Kear he has walked twice now MC tried to keep him but he chose Bradford as Head Coach so bye!

Where we are really failing is stupid penalties around the ruck and the poor handling that is impacting on our possession and giving the opposition field position and cheap easy possession. This really needs sorting. Tonight in the second half we saw a number of passes into touch had they come off great but we seem to be like headless chickens at times. If you retain possession and get field position its a game of percentages and patience we seem to be struggling with this concept at the moment. That said I love the off the cuff stuff but it comes with risks.

I'm amazed that there's such disinterested in the challenge cup. Given the current format you're far more likely for success in it than in the league - you only need to win 3 games to be in the final, and potentially this year two of those could be against championship opposition.

I don't believe for a second when Chester said that the cup is not his priority.

My opinion is that Wakefield are too good to finish 9tb but not good enough to finish 4th..... The challenge cup and drawing Huddersfield was a great chance for Chester to get a buzz around the club that's been distinctly lacking over the years.

It was a really strange statement to say it wasn't his priority.

Thats being said, he's been a solid coach for Wakefield and I'd ask logically who you'd bring in on his wages who is guaranteed to do better?

going to sleep on this one as I'm mighty disappointed with them tonight but Chester out is not the answer.

one person you can blame is me, on most of the loses I've had a cheeky bet on them to win and every time they have let me down so never again no more bets

Have to agree with this.
Of course its critical that we achieve SL survival but, Chester seemed to be writing off our only slight (very) chance of success and that isn't right.
Even if we're prioritising the league, publicly we have to sat that we're throwing everything at the cup game.
On to the game, what the hell are we doing.
Set completion (or lack of it) plus penalties conceded is just killing us.
WE can have a host of moves but, when we're turning the ball over on tackle 2 or 3, whilst in the opposition 20, we wont win anything.
Yes, there were some iffy calls but, the ref had a better game than most of our players.

Out of the cup with barely a whimper, so bloody disappointing and worst of all, Huddersfield didnt need to do anything special to secure the win.
Let's at least make it hard for the opposition ??

Just on a side note, I'm sure that Leigh's priority is promotion to SL but, it didnt stop them scalping Salford.
I wonder which side, Wakefield or Leigh will take confidence into their respective games next week ??

Pauli Pauli was quality tonight. He's getting undeserved stick from some people.

Some of the people on here really need a reality check. As do many people around me at the match tonight. Some people may have been watching for years but **** me they don't half talk some crap. Chester out??? Not trying??? How is the coach to blame for such a dire second half?? Completion rate of probably 10% knocking on 4-5 times in the opposition 20! Yes must be the coach?? If we were completing sets and not getting points then yes that's the coach having training issues. At the end of the day we beat ourseves tonight! I do wonder if I'm watching the same game as some people. Get s grip. The individual errors tonight were shambolic but yeah let's blame the coach?? **** me get a grip

Danny Brough show? We beat ourselves tonight pure and simple. He didn't do anything out of the ordinary. I love how people blame individuals. The only plus I can find is that it's the Cup. Over and out

Do people on here really think these performances are going to bring the crowds back in to watch that garbage week in week out ,with a smattering if wins here and their .Im scratching my head to think back to when we had a playing roster of this quality yet put out such inept performances .
At this rate if we do End up at Dewsbury it will be plenty big enough for our dwindling supporters.
I can stomach defeat every day of the week ,but what I can’t is players and staff who collectively turn out performances like that .
It just not acceptable ,all I want from this club it to wear our great shirt with pride and passion, something which has been sadly lacking this season bar a few performances.

we had some behind us constantly asking for the ball to be punted down the field and chased after, if these are the tactics the fans want you do have to ask about their knowledge of the game icon_lol.gif

I thinks it's about time CC took Tupou to one side and gave him a bloody good bollocking about dying with every chuffin ball he gets. That break by Paulie Paulie had try written all over it until BT failed to get his winger away. With a kick to come we would've been just 4 behind with plenty on the clock.
Not one pass from him throughout the full 80!

We bombed too many chances in that 1st half. WTF was Wood doing when he had Jowitt on his shoulder with a clear run under the sticks and he threw a wild pass out wide somewhere. The kick earlier when two of our guys just ran over the ball in goal.
