Kirmond is just as injury prone these days, he always seems to be trying to get fit, then he's down with something else. I'd put Kirmond in the same bracket as Mariano but at least Mariano can run through a gap every now and then.

Come on the heart the size of a pea baloney is wearing thin now. He's a pro SL player for gods sake. He played in a team that was haemorrhaging points just like Kirmond does now. I've never heard any Cas fans saying his defence stinks. |

Not quite that bad but he picks his moments and certainly isn't a roll up your sleeves player. However he's simply injured far to much to be worth the risk regardless of any other issues. |

Enlighten me on what's not true about that statement please. My opinions are my own with what I see with my own eyes. Kirmond certainly is no god. The year he got into the dream team was exceptional, but hasn't been even close to those heights since. Name another SL club that would have him in the starting 13. He's stready away, about our level really. Captain fantastic ? Nar. |

Mariano was a cracking player, very briefly - but he picked up a reputation for throwing the towel in when things got tough; since then, it's difficult to judge, as he hasn't featured regularly for Cas due to injury. Would be a big risk.

No he isn't even close really. The past 2 years Kirmond has played 14 games last year and 12 this. Mariano for Cas has played 5 last year and 5 this year. What you can say about kirmond is that he's strapped himself up and got out on the pitch, when the teams needed him, even when he's been injured. |
