When you're losing players to Cas to keep afloat it's obvious.
Anyone who can't see what's happening is deluded IMHO.
Losses are being cut and escape plans put in place.
If we are lucky we will be playing in the Championship next year - it will be short lived as our gypsy situation will see us disappear altogether within a few season - we are Oldham mark 2.
I honestly can't believe after the last two seasons any of you still have any belief in the club - what planet are you on!'"
I have to say I agree with Vasty. I'm really struggling to see any positives at the moment (barring Brian Smith currently
being here) It's all very painful at the moment.

I also agree with my old mate Vastman on this one.
You say we have Brian Smith but as far as we know he is also fixed up somewhere else just like all our players

Hate to say it but it really does seem that way right now.

| Will make interesting reading when season tickets for next year go on sale even if and a big IF the club are still in SL and if the club are who would want to come to a club who don't have a place to call home and will look like they are going from one bad time to another apart from players who are not wanted elsewhere.

It didn't matter that we were playing at Belle Vue this season, people still wouldn't buy a season ticket because they 'didn't know what sort of squad we would have'.
It's just a shame MC wasn't in charge 4 years ago, when we had the cushion of a 3 year franchise!

| It will be a lot worse this time round as I said though what player will want to come here apart from those that cant get a gig elsewhere the one hope is that these unknows like Sio etc bust a gut to prove they are capable that's probs what we need if BS decides to stay on with the club.

| The question right now is, can we stay in SL with the playing roster that we have.
With the exception of Locke we seem to be trading down with the players that we are "swapping" which is either cashing in/cutting cost, or preparing a Championship side.
As others have said, Brian Smith apart, it's all getting very depressing.

In previous seasons I would agree, but you only have to look at the points against column to realise this lot aren't made of the same stuff as previous squads.
As I said earlier, there is nothing positive to grasp onto right now. The perilously uncertain state the club is in is no way to build a club. The pitiful support will be even smaller if the club some how manage to survive into next season.
No coach, no players, no fans, no ground. Chin up eh?

| Well, although I understand a lot of what Vasty says, this bit "I honestly can't believe after the last two seasons any of you still have any belief in the club - what planet are you on!" is unnecessary.
The problem is from an on field point of view, when you judge the season on what has gone on so far, it's the worst in a long history at Belle Vue. The point for me though is that, the season isn't how we'll be judged. We don't have to beat Warrington or Cas. We have to beat the 7 teams in the middle 8. That is not the same.
I'm not daft enough to think it will be easy but I have seen enough since Smith has arrived to think we have a decent chance.
The ground issue is ongoing and I'm not in control of that. The team for next year will sort itself out same as every other year. We don't have to have those contracts yet. We have some, and not bad one's either, and when we know what league we will be in we can do the rest.
I share the sadness about the club but I don't share the view that everything is dead and I don't share the ridicule of those that want to try and stay positive. I don't "trust" the club any more than I trust Marks and Spencer to keep making the socks I like. I just pay my money to watch rugby in Wakefield and will do so regardless of where they play, even if that puts me on the proverbial 'other planet'

Yet there are a lot ridiculing those who are fed up and dare to air that view on here.
It works both ways ...

| I don't share that view either.
It's really all just "tone of voice" when writing. It's hard to deliver and judge what is intended so we'll just have to ride it out and see where we end up.
