| Agree with what's been said above. What with Hemel being in tthird tier.of British RL this would be a great day for them if they stay at home. As I've said on another topic, if the tie was held at Belle Vue, Stags fans, players and officials will be made more than welcome, however for the sake of developing the game of rugby league at this enthusiastic club and it's surrounding area, please keep the game as planned at your ground.

As there are clearly no mods round I'll step in and ask you to stay on topic please.
I've had a reply from Hemel, saying thy it wasn't their decision and that a statement will be issued later. It's a real shame for our supporters, for their players, for the competition, development in Hemel and the Hemel club as a whole.

| Wonder if the two course meal for the corporates will be Venison steak followed by chocolate Moose. Sorry, couldn't resist.

| My thoughts are that if the tie is to be played at BV, then any HH fans who wish to attend the game should be conveyed free of charge by coach - the coaches being paid out of the gate receipts.
Why should any individual 'home' fan be financially 'worse off' as a consequence of the change of venue

| I'd like us to give our share of the gate to Hemel. Although I doubt that's viable at the moment.

| If it was possible to stage the game at Hemel we would but believe me there is a fantastic buzz about the game! I am certainly looking forward to the trip and it will be an honour to be at Belle Vue . It shows to us and the town how far we have come, often against the odds, to be in a fixture like this. Trust me, the Stags fans are going to have a day to remember. See you next week

That's the spirit, I'm sure you'll be made very welcome. Not sure why it's deemed impossible to stage it at Hemel, just because we're currently a SL side doesn't mean we expect special treatment and we'd be more than happy at Hemel. In fact I'm gutted we're not coming.
I don't think Belle Vue will do you any favours at all, it's a massive playing surface and that will only give us another advantage.

| We simply do not come up to RFL minimum standards for games involving SL clubs. I know we will be warmly welcomed at Belle Vue (although I was a Dons lad I used to watch Wakey as well)
BTW we play at our best on big flat pitches

I'd be interested to understand why the RFL think a SL side needs a higher standard of facility? Sport is 17 men against 17 men, and if Hemel have been accepted into the competition and indeed the professional ranks, then that's enough as far as I'm concerned.
I'm really disappointed at this. Hope it's a good day for Hemel, and that the revenue is used wisely.

If you like big flat pitches we ought to move the game to Odsal, just so we have an advantage

That's a good shout, an iconic neutral venue owned by the RFL.
