Like it or not, that first half was a masterful performance by Leeds - they neutralised Wigan in every area and delivered death by a thousand cuts. Some bizarre calls from Silverwood got Wigan back into it in the second, but Leeds held out.

Sinfield was awesome.

That's how I feel I'm afraid! Silverwood let the Goons back into it and their second try was off the back of a dreadful knock on decision. Leeds got lucky at the very death not to give away a penalty for holding down but it balanced out the poor decision earlier. Well done Leeds, outstanding performance - defensively exceptional.

After watching last night it just shows that yet again the team that's most consistent all season choke yet again. This is probably one of the underlining factors why we never beat the Aussies the consistent players get picked but then when it comes to big game time they freeze. I fear that if Leeds do win this again from outside top 4 the playoff concept will lose even more credibility and crowds will drop even further next year.

Just dont get the the problem with teams outside top 4 winning the title.
The play offs are part of the season long campaign.
The clubs , the fans and players all know this at the outset.
To me it adds to the interest.
Wigan got beat fair and square despite having the advantages of finishing top, including club call.
They have blown it and if Leeds go on to win the title they will deserve it.
I for one would not have been complaining if Trinity had miraculously gone on to win title.

As far as I'm concerned you might as well inscribe Leeds' name on the cup now. As soon as they finished 5th I knew they'd get to the final to prove it wasn't a fluke last year. Can't see Saints or Warrington beating them at Old Trafford.
