If you think is form is up to the last few seasons that's up to you,i agree he puts in the tackling but his game is a lot more than tackling,his line breaks,running the angles ,spotting a gap that's what made JD such a great player for Trinity.If you think it's a about picking on him your way off the mark.

I disagree with you, watch the replay. Several (needless) penalties & terrible forward passes at key times for me - he looks very jaded and slow too at the moment. Think the lad needs a rest, and badly - hopefully he can come back better than he is now. I think this trying to play him back into form is being counter productive.

Jds mind and heart are always strong IMO. But his body is falling short which is not his fault because he is always 100% effort. Bibb should never play SL, NL1 or NL2 level. If i was Kear i would manufacture any situation where Bibb was out of the SL squad. Play a winger at prop. Anything!

i agree with you, but its not the role JK has given him, he has fixed him on one side and paying him like a battering ram. The idea of moving him to loose was to give a free rain to rome around the field and target gaps, but jk has decided to use him as a hit up man and it takes away what he does well and limits his oportunities. In terms of what he is asked to do he did it very well on sat made good metres and was excellent in defense. He made more tackles than any other player last year and probably will again this year that limits your line break ability. JD is doing his job very well since he has come back from being dropd and i believe JK is using him wrong he should be playing at loose forward and given free rain to pop up where he spots weaknesses then we will see his best. JK has turned our most dangerous attacking runner into a work horse like i say look at his stats compared to other back row forwards like gilmour fa'alogo his work rate is very high, its also because our outside backs at times esp gleeson wont carrie the ball in our end making our forwards have to work harder. JK need to allow jd more freedom and we will see his bes again.

several needles penalties ha gave one away for lying on but as usual exaggerate to back up your argument yes he gave two forward passes lets retire him now. As for looking tired and jaded he plays longer minutes than anyone in our pack and still leads the line up in defense but you would'nt see that. lets rest him thats all you lot ever say because we have so many players that do a better job get real...

but if that is what the game plan requires him to do, that is what he is going to concentrate on.
He has changed his game to fit in to the pack.

I have watched the replay, not that I needed to, and while I see the mistakes he made he was a net contributor to the overall effort.

This was the first game this season where I really felt JD was leading us from the front, almost willing his team mates to follow his lead in terms of effort and commitment. So he made some errors, who does'nt, but they did'nt cost us dearly and they were the product of fatigue in itself a product of his 100% effort.

I thought he put himself about above and beyond the effort of most of his team mates and as a result I include him on a list of those who should be exempt from major criticism.

for me jd s done..... you must not have played before or was watching a diffrent game 20+ tackles in first half and carry's then pushed from piller to post to fill in where needed and still trying to push the side around your def not watching closely and not noticing was happening

just watched the last hour on sky plus as i was away all weekend. whilst we had no penetration whatsoever what i saw was people low on confidence and devoid of ideas, but a team working pretty damn hard. we need a win and need it badly because our chins are in our boots at the minute.
i'm much more optimistic for the rest of the season if we are to see that level of effort.
