Yes mate, we are a new club and though we've only been formed a couple of weeks there's been an immense amount of work done, things achieved and huge progress made.
The facilities are fantastic, we've got a floodlit pitch, 3G, 2x5 a side area and all sorts of other training areas. The dressing rooms can hold up to 86 players at the same time, we've got an equaly big, separate female changing room and shower area. The clubhouse is very welcoming, warm and well appointed and doesn't charge ridiculous amounts. We have free use of a huge function room for fundraising, presentation nights and other events (watch this space WJL).
u wanna get some flyer up to eastmoor as if rumours are rite theres a lot wanting to leave !!!
We've established club links with Ossett Academy & Outwood Grange (over 5,000 pupils between them). We are in tals to bring a girls team and an U12s, we have ambitions to grow the number of age groups to as many as possible.
We've had meetings with Trinity, the RFL and a number of Grant organisations and plans are taking shape for future developments.
Our website www.pitchero.com/clubs/sandalspartans is now ranked 30th after just 11 days of being live. We have secured sponsors which now number into double figures.
There's loads more, we are ambitious, driven and capable so the opportunities are endless.
Most importantly we have a development philosophy that we will enforce uniformly throughout the club and all age groups.
We want to win but not at the expense of the following:
Athletic Development
Rugby League Development
Personal Development
Respect, Reputation & Integrity
Lofty goals, some might say naive but were adamant that we'll do things better and strive to create a club that produces quality players who are in possession of the key skills of the game as early as is possible. If opportunities to play at a higher standard become available to our players we are committed to ensuring that they will not be let down by a culture of poor coaching and pot hunting.'"

| out of an amazing coincidence i was going to start a new discussing , fed up of just writing about one men teams and slagging each other off and not paying attention to the efforts that are made by all who give everything for their club . chairmen , coaches , kids , statos etc .
i was sat down at the P.C to inform you that im opening a poll is it morally right to pay kids per try / per win etc .
im keeping qite so far but im going to point out to my eldest as come back from his reffing duties today where he as informed us that his cousin has earnt him self 25 quid today from a family who cannot afford a pot to pee in . yes i can say this because its my bloody sister who will no doubt be moaning on Tuesday poverty again and due to this is now not coming to mothers day dinner. my lad see a lot of this he said but he just does not mention it .

| tough game for crigg who didn't even have 17 players against stanningley who play lets say rough rugby
crigg coming out on top .
the big lad did play and scored because that's what he does but he broke free on at least 2 occasions and was tackled one lad running around 50 meters with him to tackle him ...its a matter of will power this lad was a bit smaller lets say .
it was the other big lad who never gets a mention on here who was as always one of the unsung heroes, and the ever improving HB who in opinion is the best in the league and another improved game from well he knows

I used to encourage Lewis to a fiver for up to three tries and at an early age with his size used to cost us, it then went at tackling and performance.
he is now of an age that he knows that bribery with billies doesn't work and its down to commitment of the player
he gets his praise and rewards as and when he puts that bit extra than the norm
if a parent that can't afford this they shouldn't allow it to get it out of control, surely the RFL should step in and cap parents to spending cost

| panthers u12s overcame stanley 24-4 running in 6 tries from 6 different scorers unfortunatley the tries were all scored outwide which made goal kicking very difficult but ill take a try in the corner with the bal going through the hands every week.
a really pleasing performance with some good rugby on display and some bruising defence.

| Normanton Knights U14s 8 Stanley Rangers U14s 17
fantastic result from the Rangers to go to our rivals and dig out the win today,
taking a early 10 point lead Normy didn't allow the game to get away from them and scored on the wing to close the gap.
Stanley then increase the lead to 4 -16 with a break away and converted under the sticks.
Constant pressure on the Rangers defensive line nearly paid off but it was considered that their player hadn't grounded the ball correctly, but later they managed to score in the other corner 8-16 H/T
The second half continued to be the battle as what you would expect from rival local teams and no other tries just a drop goal to settle it close to the end of the game.
The only chance that Normy got to scoring was successfully snuffed out and put in to touch right on the dead ball line.
Both sets of parents should be proud of both teams today, not only did the just get on with the game but there was no niggle
win or lose I prefer to watch these type of games than see the one sided games

| Sandal Spartans U13's entertain York Acorn at 10am on Saturday, in the prelim round of the YJL Continuation Cup; feel free to come down for a bacon butty and show your support for Wakefield's newest amateur RL club.
This weeks match sponsor is Sandal Post Office - a very generous offer of support that's much appreciated.
Finally, if you have a big lump of a 12-13 year old who fancies getting on board, give us a shout; we're currently recruiting and whilst all are welcome, we are particuarly in need of forwards.

| looking froward to the up coming cup match . should be a gud un seeing us up against another team ive never seen .
got me to thinking . with this being such a tight league last year and the cup.etc .
who is the best opposition whether you won lost or drew you have come up against. in the last couple of years .
for me it must =be Hull Wyke for 20/30 minutes it looked like an all Hull final , knowing the way crigg play i kinda knew more so that could win even in et with Easts although the pre match analysis of a one man band was way off the mark.

| Eastmoor Under 12’s are away for the third time in 4 games this weekend with a tough trip to Heworth. We have recently attracted a few new players to the club and now have a squad of 17 players. The players are putting a lot of effort into training sessions and this is beginning to show at the weekend matches with some encouraging performances. More importantly than the result, we are getting better with each game and the players are playing with a smile on their faces.
We are always looking to attract new players so if anybody new to the game or without a club wants to give it a go, please feel free to drop in on one of our training sessions on a Tuesday or Thursday at 6.30pm.
One of the coaches at Eastmoor is now working with the Wildcats so hopefully all the junior teams at the Dragons will be able to benefit from a closer relationship with Wakefield
All the best for the weekend

Hot coffee,Tea and bacon but ties are available as well as the bar being open.
The game last just over an hour giving Trinity fans the chance to watch this game then get to Belle Vue for the first Academy game of the season.

| ive been over to wigan today to watch cas academy yr7 boys in the first round of the national cup.it couldnt have been a tougher draw with cas taking on lancashire cup winners st peters who have beat all before them without been tested in any game thus far.
after a bruising encounter with the lead exchanging hands at least 5 times it was cas academy who progressed to rnd 2 after the game finished 28-28 to leave the cas lads elated and the wigan lads on there knees.
school games arnt usually the best to watch but both schools deserve huge praise for this encounter which could have gone either way and it would have made a great spectacle for the wembley final.
east leeds for the panthers u12s tommorow although i expect that quite a few boys will be aching a bit in the morning.

Crigg 12s 56 oulton 04 / Low light Referee Dancing Highlight Referee Blowing up and disappearing
Stanley 10s 18 Townsville 26 / the 10s are getting closer to that all important 1st win.
***********************************************************************
If there are any budding junior coaches out there level 1/2 without a club the crigg all blacks would like to hear from you . from little acorns grown big oaks . The under 12s are next week in the first round of the challenge cup and hope to keep up the good run of form . so far topping the inaugural Minni winter season , winning the Yorkshire cup at belle vue , yet to play the wakefield cup final v eastmoor at belle vue this may (bank holls) , unbeaten this season in division 1 .And yet just 2 years ago this team only had 7 players BUT a very determined coach and staff to guide a team that grew into Champions.....
Now not every team can do this but if you think you can guide a team to the pinnacle or just guide a team that will play week in week out and no matter what the result turn up for training the next week then you are their type of coach we are looking for .
please get in touch with the chair man of the club

also looking for players , i know for a fact that a few clubs struggle and dont have a tens or 9s (9s can play in tens) and that a lot of kids are going without a club . same again get in touch with the new number 1 junior club in wakefield . The boast of YORKSHIRE . CRIGGLESTONE ALL BLACKS , success is not accidental

His refereeing and attitude was absolutely awful and went a good way to spoiling the game. Got to admit im disappointed I got too involved but it's a shame when the boys work so hard.
Well done the Crig lads, I don't think the score line reflected the difference in the two sides across the board.
