| Quote Wakefieldite="Wakefieldite"Would love to see that report. It would show Leeds Council and Ms Fender for what they arr. Thanks to supporters from other clubs for their congratulatory messages, it means a lot to us.'"
I would like to ask how we have a planning system that enables such spurious objections to so egregiously delay decent and well thought out plans. It seems any individual or institution that wants to delay something for their own ends, can find easy ways to do it

| Just read on the Cas board (other site) this is going to dramatically increase the cases of childhood athsma in the Wakefield area! Apparantly our youngsters will never be able to play as they will all be on 3 or 4 seperate inhalers! To make it worse, he isn't even joking - I have never seen a forum with as many cranks on it as that one.

Well, to be honest, I hope Cas get their wish too. Much as some of their fans p me off and Mr Wright has been an a hole sometimes, I would like our big derby to remain and a deep heartland club to retain its rightful place. I'f rather go to Cas than another ruddy waste of space like Crusaders or London pack it in Broncos

| Really pleased with the news and don't want to put a damper on things, but I won't be getting too carried away until the diggers are in!!
All we have is paper at the moment. We now need the units to sell for the stadium to be built but I'm guessing some deals may have already been done????

It would be very surprising if YCP haven't been beavering away in the background doing just that.
I think that the detail of the SoS's decision is actually very positive for us; it requires the developer and the Council to sign off a binding s106 agreement with respect to delivery of the stadium, so that will give a clear indication of timescales and such.
You're right to be cautious, but we've certainly cleared a massive hurdle.

| Talking to a guy who reckoned it would cost circa £20 million to build a 12000 seater to a decent standard. Which begs the question in these financially straitened times.....who exactly is going to cough up that money?
The developers [url=http://companycheck.co.uk/company/02056198Yorkcourt[/url don't appear to be exactly rolling in it, and are already late in posting figures for 2012..... A private finance company maybe, who can see an opportunity? .....will Glover be sticking his hand in his pocket?
Obtaining Full Planning Permission might have been the easy part of the equation. Obtaining a suitable financial package could be a tad more challenging.
