hard to argue for it when comments like this are posted
We used to walk with the children and dogs on the old colliery site and are unable to do due to it being unsafe. The amount of rubbish, bottles of urine and bags of human faeces is disgusting and I can only assume come from the truckers as it is outside where they park.
I'm sorry I won't support this or anything they want to apply for, the council are to blame for this farce

Same with any industrial estate, as it gets bigger they might provide more facilities for the truckers bins etc. There was the same problem on the 41 estate where I walk the dogs but something as simple as a few extra bins solved the problem. I will be supporting it as we are owed and getting this through we may get some of what we are owed.

| When looking at the detail the new East Stand looks brilliant and set the club up for the future. I will still be in the North stand though stood on the new terracing.

You'll find if we was owed we would of had it by now, be ready to be let down again then

I used to do a lot of sub contract work on Henry Boot sites during the 80s and early 90s, i always found them an excellent company to work and deal with.

That’s your choice but I don’t think you need to take on quite such a high tone. Nothing to do with ‘integrity’ you’re either willing to support or your not. If not I don’t blame you but for those who are good for them imo, just a choice not a moral crusade.
Frankly if you go by NM phase one it’s an absolute given whether we back it or not so I wouldn’t worry to much. Since when has public opinion mattered when there is money to be made.
Odd when you think it does matter for a community stadium which you think would be a given.
It’s how the world works, it’s how it’s always worked, stinks don’t it.

I get that Vastly but 15000 supported Newmarket developing some greenbelt along with the brown belt. I am sorry but the way this whole thing has gone since it started is a complete joke planning procedures abused and total disregard for public opinion. As I say I will not change my stance it will not make a not of difference as it will get passed no matter how many objections the monstrosity there now that will no doubt breed into others is a complete disgrace and betrayal of the local communities

| there was an open day at Stanley where York court showed their intentions to help fund the community stadium and when I turned up that Saturday so did Phil Townsend, he knew me from living local to him and we met a few times at the ground and chatted, he also knew I used to do the fans site on here with adam so suggested helping YC in pushing the dream of the stadium on there with also the cold store as this was going to be the reason for the stadium being built and it was arranged to meet up at their offices and see if this could be done and get permission.
Me and phil turned up and we had a short meeting explain all about the fans site and how we could aid support, in that meeting all the usual bull**** was told to us and I agreed to help push it on there, it might not of hit loads of views but its main purpose was to push the stadium within the community.
Phil also confided with me about the snow hill development which is just opposite the Royal Spice at the top of the hill telling me about the supermarkets and petrol station which was in the plans, now I wasn't impressed with that idea you could call me a nimby as I loved to walk my dogs around that area but kept quite as he asked me to as didn't want to effect our chances, its now been flattened and developed the next stage will come right down to the Royal Spice with a new road entry there. Yes I use it now and again but I hate the Mcdonalds which since has caused havoc with idiots queuing and causing traffic problems.
What infuriates me most was that I've seen a massive drop in bird variety within my garden after the land was stripped heavily of its trees and bushes and this will never recover.
Like RW&B said they got enough support 15k to turn Green belt to brown and turned their back on us, the Wakefield public deserves an investigation into the way this has been handled, Box and Walker have a lot to prove about this, they've made thousands out of it and still are and all for nothing as yet.

Couldn’t disagree but life’s not fair and honest people with the money and power to make things happen are hard to find.
Like it or not we have at times to work with the devil.
If you think about it, it’s only like supporting your team. Not every Trinity player has been a good person, some were the exact opposite. Some of those were very much fans favourites. Yet we support them often in the full knowledge of what they are.
You draw the line where you want but other people lines maybe different, doesn’t make either the right line as that probably doesn’t exist in most cases.

Again Vasty I agree I will not promote it against anyone that supports it but it will not get support from me personally as you say others lines are different but I do remember the neighbours at that development up in arms about the proposed development now they have massive freezers on their door steps it must have turned out a worst case scenario for them! In the meantime in all this shenanigans some will have made a handsome profit it stinks!

Without doubt the thing that gutted SWAG members like me and TRB, PB and Jinjer it was this. I feel terrible that I pushed so hard and against the wishes of the people who lived nearby and objected.
I still think their objections to the proposed project was unreasonable. What non of us knew was that the actual proposal was a con. Through no fault of the NM supporters they were indeed left with a giant fridge and nothing to counterbalance it, which the stadium would have. As I say not our fault but it still makes people of conscience feel as if it was. The YC scum bags couldn’t care less.
On the flip side the damage is now done, any further development won’t make it any worse, may even improve things a bit by at least finishing the place.
It’s a poor legacy from a major public fraud by people who will get rich and never be punished. In the meantime we have to salvage whatever we can and that means negotiating with YC and sadly that will involve more give on our part.
It stinks and the next time you here someone calling some other country a banana republic remind them that we live in one.

Can’t fault that at all pal
Integrity is something that’s in very short supply in the world these days
I won’t be supporting anything to do with York court
That whole situation was a disgrace
I am however desperate to see us get our stadium moved forward
This is one occasion where I would turn the other way as I wouldn’t do anything to hurt seeing our ground upgraded
